Elegy for a dead world

This game has intrigued me since I saw its name for the first time a few days ago.

Basically, you are an explorer who are to investigate three lost worlds, and write their stories. You are apparently at select places prompted to finish a sentence about what you are looking at, or where you. The trailer explains it better than I do.

What it has to do with Keats, Shelly and Byron I still don’t understand fully.

After you have completed the story and the game, it can be shared with the Steam community, and you can of course read the stories of others.

Its an intriguing concept, but I hope they have some way to screening all the penis joke stories out.

Man, I think this is one of the most innovative ideas for a game I’ve seen in years. If anyone tries it, do share with the class!

Agreed - truly fascinating. I’m really curious to see what kind of reception and longevity the game has.

I remember seeing a Kickstarter for this not too long ago and was intrigued - it was $25 for the beta access a couple months ago. Almost half price now, nice! I’m going to try it out and see how it goes. My wife is an English teacher/aspiring writer so I’ll have to show her too.

From the thread title, I thought this was going to be about Wildstar.

I took a quick spin at it, writing a story with one hand while holding my baby with the other. Not easy work! I worked entirely with the writing prompts that each ‘station’ gives you, without looking at them first, so I had to adjust a bit mid-story :D It lets you publish your stories but I assume you can only read them in the game.
