When someone criticizes your work you either brush it off because there are always detractors, or you say why you couldn’t do it that way, or you tuck it away and try to do better next time. The funny thing is that in occasions like that the thing you have to do it’s very simple. Just apply Occam’s razor! What is more probable, a obscure politically motivated smear campaign or maybe it’s only that your book sucks, not surprising for someone who has not written before a work of written fiction and it’s not his main job nor his talent in life.

At least Stardock’s mods saw fit to shut down that review thread. I’d like to think that Brad saw one of him employees posting in that and realized he needed that thread wasn’t doing him any favors. Free speech is one thing, but you don’t need employees claiming stuff like that even if you agree with them.

It’s a very different argument. “Don’t like it, don’t buy it” only applies when you’re in a situation to determine quality or preference - i.e. with a demo. Not when you’ve preordered the thing and in some cases can’t refund it.

Yes, i agree with you… but you know, those are the normal dangers of pre-ordering something before trying it.

I see a lot of complaints about the artwork, but I think it’s a great looking game. To each his own, I guess. What is it that people aren’t fond of, exactly?
