I’m hoping this thread doesn’t die, because it’s a good to keep non-game related Elemental talk isolated here, but I like dinosaurs too.

Damn, you beat me to it.

Not ready for release!

I will not post a dinosaur, but I will post some words.

Now while you might assume the big dino is something else, to me it’s just a big dino.

On the record i’m mostly pretty disappointed with all Digital Download services so far. I’m an ‘off-line’ single player PC gamer(who sometimes does Hot Seat) and will remain so, it’s not as if games made today are better than those made yesterday, or ever likely to be so(on current form 80% of the time); so i will remain an off-line PC gamer.

I most likely will pick up Elemental, but not for another 6 months or so depending on what state it is in then.

Overall i personally feel the Steams/Stardocks of this world need to do a whole lot more and go a whole lot further towards some of the things mentioned in Brads(ill-fated?) ‘Bill of gamers rights’ or we might all as well give over PC gaming to Facebook games or become console gamers and just resign ourselves to simple quick hit adrenaline ‘games as movies’.

I have to say, not one of Troys better articles. I’ve got no problems with his opinion of the game, but the grammar and overall flow of the piece is weak. I’ve read many of his Flash of Steel articles so I know hes capable of better.

Glad to hear some posters speaking in favour of the art direction of the game. I like it too.

Multiplayer delayed:

Stardock is delaying Elemental: War of Magic’s multiplayer capabilities as the developer continues working out issues from the PC 4X strategy game’s rough launch. A company spokesperson noted on the game’s forums that the “[multiplayer] enabling patch has been put back to next week as the priority was to first resolve” performance issues which could impact single player and multiplayer.

This forum is clearly in decline.

And with that, I’m putting Elemental on the backlog pile. Maybe I’ll take a look at it next year.

Flying lightsaber potatos?

Those are obviously kidneys.

The hat is a nice touch.

They’re the reason why Pythagoras didn’t eat beans.
