Do you even know what you are talking about? The only person actively stalking Brad was banned over a week ago. The other person who has been attacking his motives has been told to shut the fuck up by numerous people and earned a spot on most folks ignore list. I don’t see any other posts directly attacking Brad, but the condition of Elemental.

So quit the bullshit, because everyone can see right through you.

Bingo.

Thread quieting down, someone shows up and starts stirring up trouble from god knows how many pages back.

Guys, please keep in mind that while this thread was in its red rage phase, attention was drawn to it (and the bboard in general) at Stardock’s forum. That place is populated by fans, a few of which, though not at all the majority, have fanatical devotion normally reserved for Mac Zealots (I saw one person compare the game to high art and imply anyone who doesn’t love it is a simpleton).

This thread really should get closed. It’ll make it less convenient to troll.

… or it could just be Punch Line again.

Broad sweeping generalizations? Check.
Making an isolated case the focal point of a something’s existence? Check.
Douchebaggery? Check.

Wow, it’s like looking into a mirror for you, isn’t it? You’re not presenting your case any better than Matt, and you’re dragging random other people into it.

Pro-tip; you’re not going to win this one.

But he has so much worthwhile to say!

People generally do not like being called on what they do, and as you can see none of you like it. As an outsider, this is one of the first threads I saw on your forums. It did and does not shed you all in a good light.

Unfortunately, the majority of you think it is fine, nothing I say will change that. An open registration some of you mock because it allows people who do not share your feelings to express themselves. You dismiss anything that doesn’t share your views, this is hardly a forum.

Reported.

Since I am new, does that mean I’m reported? Not quite sure why for what h qouted?

Reported for questioning being Reporting.

No, that is every internet forum, everywhere. The tribal instinct to tell outsiders to “STFU n00b!” is part of human nature.

Though we of the qt3 tribe might seem hostile at first it is possible to win us over by carefully observing tribal behaviour in order to see what is viewed as acceptable behaviour. It helps if you’re able to present yourself in a manner that is eloquent and semi-literate. Since you possess neither of those skills your chance of swaying the opinion here is practically non-existant. Lurk more, post less. Maybe some day you’ll get it.

It’s more like a forum in-joke. Reported. means that I’ve clicked on the little ‘caution’ sign next to your name and told Tom Chick that you’re probably here to troll (and while I was at it, I asked him to -please- close this thread, already). Tom asks us to point out when someone’s been reported, so we don’t send him 50 reports all at once. It’s really for spambots. Nothing will come of it. I posted one for Punch Line, too (Goldstein’s, I was totally kidding).

It appears that you’re here to just troll and stir things up, a lot like Punch Line was. The awful truth is that a lot of us felt personally betrayed by Brad because he was in this thread, telling us the game was awesome, the internal builds coredumped ice cream and rainbows, and the dev team was done early, sipping pina coladas on the sand. When that turned out to be the farthest thing from the truth: Well, a lot of us felt personally huckstered. We’ve mellowed out since then. Life, and mistakes, happen. As for the Brad/Gallant saga… fucked if I know. But there were missteps on all sides, including Stardock’s. Just let it drop, dude.

It should have been locked to die 40+ pages ago. It is weird, sad, and a little scary to see people from here pursuing Brad and his minions around the internet. Single-issue posters bringing outside drama onto this board drawn purely by the corpse-candle glow of this thread? Come on.

It’s always 11AM somewhere.

I think that’s two dinosaurs makin’ out.

I hereby ban the use of the word “stalking” by the internet at large.

It was. It just got lost (and/or ignored) because the rest of the conversation is ever so much more stimulating than a Gamespot review, apparently.

Interestingly enough, of all the games that I had an interest in before release, ever, that’s the worst a game was ever reviewed/scored (on Gamespot).

Wow!
I had to copy that to a graphics program just to see what it was. But nice dinos… I thnk Zylons monitor exploded.

Hey, it outscored Battlecruiser 3000 A.D..

This thread is admittedly a bit of a festering hell hole, but it has managed to keep the Other Elemental Thread pure.

No good, they’ll just switch to “doubleplus crimeposting.”
