Brad Wardell shot a game in Reno, and he’s watching it die.
Thank you, good night!

Steam does the same thing, and it’s just as easy to opt out of on Impulse.
Impulse Now really has no reason to be used, at least on the gaming side (maybe the application side of it)
That Wardell family castle ain’t paying for itself!
Ok, now we’re into $camdock territory.

EB Games in Australia has a seven day return full (cash) refund policy :-) Even if it is opened.

Did you receive any communication from them when the credit was reversed or did it just show up on your CC balance, Knightsaber?
Nope. I preordered in September of 2009, and the money was refunded to my credit card.

Will I be further labeled as an ass kisser if Island Dog gets kudos for sticking around this thread and making attempts to help? ;)

Just got this email about my refund:
Hello,
Unfortunately, since you purchased Elemental outside of 90 days, we are unable to issue you a refund. This is a limitation that we do not have control of, but I can offer you store credit in the amount you paid for the game.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
WTF? What should I do to get these scamming assholes to refund my money :(

Would a chargeback via your credit card work?

I don’t know but I guess I’ll have to resort to threats like that.
Most credit card companies have a 90 day limit on charge disputes. What they don’t have is a 90 day limit on refunds, which Stardock likes to pretend.

Ugh, I am even sick of my attempts to make everyone play nice. I can only imagine how the rest of you must feel.
Call me kooky, but I’d think Stardock would be trying to make good with customers. Especially in these times…but hey, they really seem to have a great grasp on PR, so I’m probably way off base here. I probably just can’t see The Vision™.
That is an out and out lie.
I know this, because they refunded my money, and it was 11 months later.
Pretty similarly to you, I imagine.
Thanks for the info. I guess I shouldn’t get too worried yet about their total silence yet… though it would really suck if they dragged out the process past my 90 day mark, and then denied the refund based on their on-again off-again 90 day limit.
