If you’re going to reply to a 3 month old comment, at least do me the favour of understanding the context of this thread, i.e. it being the place where we’ve had that argument for about 150 pages.

I wasn’t talking about PC Gamer. I was talking about Brad still pretending that he was only replying to a friend. He wasn’t. He was talking to a few of us and did appear to be talking to everyone who didn’t like the game (but I can see why you can dispute that). Brad’s done a good job of the mea culpas since those crazy months - I just don’t think he needs to twist things further. Just admit fault, shut up, and make it right.

Magic dev journal is up for FE.

I looked at it, it’s pretty good, though I still think it notches below Age Of Wonders series, but only in amount of spells. Add some more spells in and it should be great.

It received a patch two weeks ago. It’s still being updated and improved.

All of the above, sort of. As far as I know, one more attempt at fixing/revising the gameplay is planned. But there’s no plans to stop supporting/patching the game.

Elemental is still receiving patches, bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. Fallen Enchantress is free to those who purchased Elemental in 2010 and while it’s sort of a stand-alone expansion, it honestly sounds much more like Elemental 2 to me in terms of improvements and enhancements.

Any future WoM fixing is going to depend on Brad himself, and how successful FE is. The impression I’m getting is that if FE is wildly successful, they’ll concentrate more on that instead- though Brad views WOM as his baby and wants to make it right eventually.

I have a feeling FE is going to be a very good game that needs expanding on in some areas though to reach its full potential.

If it’s anything like the beta patches, it puts it into the realm of flawed but decent.
I have doubts that without some serious modding and AI work it would get much better then that.

My father, born before WWII, asked me just yesterday if I’d heard of Dwarf Fortress before. It’s officially jumped the shark in my book. Time to move on to something shinier ;)
