Augh invalid registration here too! I’ve been in since beta 1… what determines if you can play or not?

I’ll be a very happy camper if it’s up tomorrow for me. I don’t have time during the week to play video games due to my work schedule so I’d end up waiting 4 more days to play it =(

Invalid registration here too. For some reason i’m not disappointed, I think the betas killed any hype for this game. After seeing a game in such a raw state over many months, I guess it’s hard to view the gold version with much wonderment. Don’t get me wrong, I know the betas weren’t supposed to be fun, I remember the 20 or so disclaimers telling me such before being able to jump into a new version ;)

No matter how much Brad assured everyone how completely unfun the beta’s would be, it wasn’t until I tried them that I really understood he meant exactly what he was saying. I’ve only progressed a few dozen turns, but the game is already much more compelling than any phase of the beta I played.

Word of advice, play around in the options before and after starting your first game, there are lots of little tweaks and settings that affect some of the interface and display which make a world of difference in my satisfaction with them. Some of the default settings should be the non-default IMHO etc.

Put me in the unlucky group :(

Hmm, I had uninstalled a few days ago as part of prepping for release. No idea if that made any difference as to the registration thing.

I didn’t uninstall until today when the update showed available, and only did so because Impulse forced an uninstall before it would proceed with the update/new install.

Probably not. I uninstalled as soon as I saw this thread bloom, hoping it would change something. Nope, registration invalid regardless.

FYI, the campaign is the tutorial. There isn’t any other preconfigured tutorial. It also makes sure you do more than just wander around :). The default baddies in the way will take a little building to get to the point you can conquer them.

I haven’t pre-ordered. I know from experience that Brad & his crew, the bastards that they are, completely screw up my productivity ;)

I might finally fall to the temptation now that it’s being released. But I kinda want the limited edition, which I suspect won’t be in stores locally this time. How will it be distributed?

Amazon has the LE of Elemental for $69.99 plus a 10$ game credit. Free shipping if your a prime user. Best bang for the buck imho.

Getting invalid registration as well (beta had been playing fine. Is this normal when Stardock moves from beta to full release or should I be raising this with Stardock?

Since almost everyone is getting it, it would not be worth raising individually with Stardock and would likely clog their Customer Service channels if everyone did sent in tickets. It’s posted both here and on their official forums, so I’m sure they are aware of the issue.

It’s looking like just a couple lucky folks got in somehow (me being one of them). Sounds like most folks are locked out still, which given it’s not release day yet, I’m not surprised.

Now, must not take another turn… Must…go…to…sleep.

Bah, Elemental disappeared from my game list entirely, and I preordered before the first beta.

I too tried to update, and it said my registration was invalid. Pooooo. :(

(I will just sit here and quietly glower at the people who managed to get it installed already)

The look up serial feature reveals that Elemental is not in the list of registered games anymore. A few days ago it said Elemental (Preorder), now there is no entry at all. So I guess most of us have to wait until those registrations get processed.

Back to the MP tactical battle issue - I thought of a couple ideas for handling battles vs AI. Admittedly they are good for 1v1 only. The first is to auto resolve player vs AI battles, but to allow player vs player. The second is to have the other player take over for the AI.

I uninstalled it and I’m still getting the same kick in the nuts as other people.
It’s a shame, as I ended up playing a lot of the last iteration of the beta and was keen to see where the game is at now.
