Cool, I thought it may have been mentioned via in-game news, or through AI pilot dialogue, or something.

I made the trip to George Patanzi earlier in my SW. As was mentioned above the fighting was done.
I upgrades my FSD first and that helped as I can now jump ~13ly. I was near Frey and it was a 100ly trip.
While this is true, you don’t need to kit out your Cobra immediately. I went Cobra with about 350k and went back to doing bulletin board missions for a while, but also trading. Those cargo holds are enormous compared with the measly 4 units you get in a Sidewinder, and it doesn’t cost much to end up with 2 x 16 unit cargo holds. Then I discovered a decent trading route that was netting around 50-60k per round trip (total 4 jumps) and I was able to start upgrading again fairly quickly. It will cost a lot to upgrade it to the max, but you’ll exceed the capabilities of your Sidewinder a long time before that.
Btw, it’s at least four times larger than a Sidewinder. Bear that in mind the first time you come into a docking bay with it. :)
ps. One of your first purchases should be a fuel scoop. Seriously.
This is a day old. Does anyone know how long this kind of thing lasts? I don’t want to go there for the 10% discounts to find the sale over!
Boom Time in LHS 3447
The Future of LHS 3447 party are celebrating an economic boom in their system. They have announced that they will share that good fortune as part of their future development initiatives.
“The success of LHS 3447 is in large part due to the numbers of independent pilots who pass through and trade in this system. In fact Trevithick Dock is known for being the starting point for many pilots’ careers.
“In recognition of this we are subsidising a 10% discount for all pilots using the shipyards and outfitting facilities in Trevithick Dock, Dalton Gateway and Worlidge Terminal.”
Not sure how long it lasts, but folks seem to be talking like it’s still a thing.

Man, the Feds are now Hostile to me, and I have no idea why. I decided to settle in Lieadin, where Thrag’s hanging out, to try and get my rep up with a faction. So I did about 25 missions for Patron’s Prinicples, an Empire sub-faction, and got my rep up to Allied. Then something happened, and I’m not sure what. Now Empire is Unfriendly, and the Feds shoot at me. Voulungu has some isolated outposts so at least I can dock there to collect Fed bounties, but it appears 33% of the entire galaxy is going to be rough going.
It really seems like doing 1 bad thing wipes out 10 good things, and the whole thing is not clear at all. Any tips on getting my rep back?
And yeah, Furbaide rocks. No muss no fuss for stolen goods at the outpost there.
Yep, it’s still on. Grabbed myself some bargains.

Thanks for the tips on systems, Brian and Thrag! LHS 3505 sounds perfect for me for weekdays to pop in for an hour here and there to try to make some money and I will try to swing by Tionisla also to check it out. I will have to check how far away they are.

Do you show as wanted in Fed systems, or is your record clean but your reputation hostile?
I still can’t quite figure out the reputation thing. If I’m in an Empire system and I shoot at a wanted ship that is a member of a Federal faction, does reputation go down with that faction? I sometimes see a little red down arrow next to one of the factions in the status screen after hunting for a while and that’s my best guess as to the cause. I assume if I shoot a fed ship that is wanted in fed space that will not cause a reputation decline. IIRC that was a bug before the last release.
I’ve managed to get friendly with the feds. So all fed ships now show up green, even wanted ones. Which makes me hesitate for a moment to wonder if I should be blasting them.
Once you kill scan someone is there a way to see where they are wanted? Unless I’m missing something in the contacts screen I only see the bounty amount.
If they say wanted, they’re wanted in that system. Otherwise not.
. If I’m in an Empire system and I shoot at a wanted ship that is a member of a Federal faction, does reputation go down with that faction?
I’m pretty sure, yes, but not 100% after the recent changes. I think you get a reputation hit either way, it’s just that same faction system authority vessels won’t go hostile on you if the target had a bounty in that system.

The system LHS 3479 is a pretty nice little system if you want to practice various exploration techniques. It’s also a little interesting, with three stars each with their own planets, and also another set of planets orbiting a common center of mass. There are also resource extraction sites and sites seeking luxuries that will help orient you. It’s Fed space, but with a Fed outpost and an Anarchy outpost (with a black market), so when scanning gets a little monotonous, hitting a USS or three and selling any stolen goods/collecting bounties can spice things up. As an added bonus, at 10.25 ly, it’s a stone’s throw away from a major starting area, in this case LHS 3447.

Some ships are wanted in multiple jurisdictions, which is what the kill scanner reveals.
Sorry, what I meant was that if it says wanted in the target info in the bottom left, the bounty is in the current system. If it says they’re clean, but after using the KWS there’s a bounty amount in the contacts tab, then it’s in other systems. I don’t believe there’s anywhere that tells you precisely which system, at least while they’re alive.
So I took my first assasination(named target) mission. Is there some trick to finding the target or do they just randomly spawn at some point in one of the systems listed? I have been flying around an awful long time…
You need to look into the Unidentified Signal Sources. Even if you catch him and he frame shifts and escapes, he’ll still be in another USS.
I joined low intensity conflicts in Lwen system with two sides - “Bureau of Lwen” and “Lwen Bureau”. I got combat bounties from both sides but the Lwen system has no outposts or stations with either of these factions? Is there something I’m missing or is this a bug of some sort?
If it’s Julie Steiner, watch out! She will end you.

SO, I got my first mission with the federal navy, go get some combat stabilisers. I went to a nearby system, found a clean ship with the cargo and shot it up, grabbed the cargo and went back to the original system. When I got there, I paid the fine, but when I go to give in the cargo in the bulletin board, the option to give cargo is in red and I can’t select it, even though the cargo is in my hold and my standing with the federation is friendly. Any ideas?
I gave up :) Too tedious for me.
