Elite Dangerous takes up a smidge more than 5 Gb of my hard drive.

Fer De Lance confirmed as one of the new ships in 1.2, per the newsletter.

Nice! I wonder what the layout and price of that is going to be. I want one!

Another 62308 repeats of the same trade route and I might be able to afford one…
There’s no way that fits into 32K

Kinda makes you wish you could just buy one for $115 and pick up some extra time at work, doesn’t it?

Haha indeed…
Those filthy “microtransactions” always after my heard earned monies.
Pretty sure I’d eventually fire up Cheat Engine if the game wasn’t “online only single player”. Instead I have stopped playing and instead wait for more stuff with patches.
Hint in the newsletter - may we see the Thargoids soon?
“Rare alien artefacts went on sale in the Ngurii system, but many have speculated that this may be just a publicity stunt or a scam. Despite evidence against the legitimacy of the rare goods, the news has spurred speculation among collectors of Thargoid relics.”
I think it was a joke about the 8-bit Fer de Lance ;)
But that seems a lot, mine is around 3.5.
Strange. Mine is also in the 5GB range. I do have the separate training modules installed though, I didn’t realize they were separate from the game itself and don’t really know how to uninstall just them alone. Seems silly to even have two options in the game launcher to me, anyway.
That will be it most likely, as I don’t have that installed! If you click on it, there should be an option to uninstall.
If not you can just find and delete the folder it lives in. I imagine it’s in “Frontier\EDLaunch\Products”
Very nice! I love the lines, i have not read the newsletter yet, did they say if this was a Fed or Imp ship (or even Alliance)?
Edit. I had gotten confused over the discussions on the Wolf mkII we had been having on the forums, the Fer de Lance was always a Federation ship, being made by Zorgon Petterson Group.
It’s left over from the time when it was possible to be entitled to play the training modules but not the full game. I guess it might end up being a kind of demo too.
Is it ok to say I think the spaceships designs are just about the weakest link in this otherwise very cool game? They’re so boring :(

Yes, I really agree with that, reason are they are copies of the low polygon models of yesteryear. They should seriously look into this, also I want more hi tech ui stuff, a zoom system is a good start

Of course it’s okay. Everyone is entitled to their incorrect opinions! :)
Compounded by lack of third person view. I’d love to see my ship during hypersuperframeshiftcruise.

i love the looks of the ships in elite:d. but i agree with tyler. i want to look at my ship. in space. while its doing things. from all of the angles.
I think they’ve done a decent job in modernising the old simple geometric models from 30 years ago, while keeping them mostly recognisable. I wouldn’t like it if the Cobra or Asp looked totally different from how they did back then.
