I kid of course…but no…just…no…
Also, from this point on today, I shall only reply in Next Generation reaction GIFs.
Well, I guess I set myself up for that one.

someone give Rubin a timeout.
My other issue is the confusion between the Oculus Store versions and the FD launcher. I originally bought the game through Frontier but once I got my Rift I used a partner key to unlock the Oculus Store version so I can use that with my Rift. However the Oculus store is so damn confusing I can’t tell how to buy Horizons on the Oculus store. And if i buy it from Frontier I have no idea if that unlocks it for the account so it will automatically be available through the Rift.
No idea on this one, sorry.
Isn’t the Worf image from Deep Space Nine when him and Dax go to Risa together?
I think Brian means The Next Generation as the generation itself, not one of the shows set in it.
Or maybe he just doesn’t care. I guess we’ll never know, unless he has a pretty specific GIF that can answer that question.
I’m definitely TRYING to stick to NextGen but y’all are making it tough.
No idea about the Oculus store, but you can use the Rift just fine in the Frontier store version.
I must add that, apropos of nothing, gif format is definitely the best way to enjoy TNG.
Pretty sure the Oculus Store version already includes Horizons, but the content would be locked out for you since it all links back to your Frontier account. So you’d have to buy it on Frontier or Steam, which would unlock the content.
I’d just use the Steam version, as Elite on the Rift works the same way regardless of where you launch it from (it doesn’t use SteamVR).
So I still cannot figure out how to use the Galaxy map when I’m using the Rift. I can open the map fine, i can type in a destination fine but i can’t select any star to travel to. The X button on my controller simply moves the map on the vertical axis, A does nothing outside the menu as far as i can tell. So I’m essentially stuck in-system when I’ve got the Rift on which is completely killing this game for me right now. I just wan’t to use the f**cking map and travel not spend 30 damn minutes faffing about with key bindings that do nothing. It’s 2016 for crying out loud.
I don’t get the issue? If you’re using XB controller it should be all mapped for you - ‘A’ selects the highlighted system under the cursor. ‘D-Pad right’ to move over the pop-up options, then ‘A’ to select them.
Hey friends, if you’re gonna join us for the meetup tonight, don’t forget to hop on the Mumble server. All the info you need for Mumble is here.
Yup it should be but its not. I can’t actually select a system at all. I just have the map which I can move around but there’s no cursor to select a system
There’s an option in the map screen there, to ‘show grid’ or something. This also shows that cursor.
That’s new info to me, I looked through all the screens and didn’t see anything like that but I’ll look for that tonight.
