It releases on Tuesday, GeeWhiz.

AI bounties going up is nice.

TrackIR 5 being fixed is nice.

I have an Adder. All is well.

According to today’s newsletter, the community-driven push to liberate formerly-peaceful Lugh from Federation “oppression” has brought it to the brink of civil war. If true, that’s pretty cool and exactly the type of dynamic gameplay I was hoping for.

I believe that the price goes up from $50 to $60 upon release, so if you’re sure you’re going to get it, get it now.

At $50 preorder, you get an extra ship, too, I believe. At least that’s what my order told me.

yes it does and yes you do.

I have been futilely chasing a named pirate across HeHeng. At first his contract was like he might be here, here and there. At third or so unknown signal i visited an npc told me the guy is in HeHeng. The mission text was updated so i flew to HeHeng. went into a million unknown signals, but never the guy i was contracted for. I think there might be something off about mission related unknown signals getting a plus chance to spawn.

In other news, someone found a way to ha}{or the HUD colour!!! I made it bright green and that does a LOT for rift useability!

That’s rather annoying. Have you tried another mission, a simple delivery for example, to see whether it’s the mission itself? I completed my first mission last night, so completing the mission occurred fine through the bulletin board. I am now rich beyond my wildest dreams*.

*My wildest dream to date is finding a 5 CR note under a pillow, so by that standard this is indeed true. I need wilder dreams when it comes to money.

Damn… The last 5 trades have been upside down!

Edit: I should have added that these were my old trade runs from a week ago. I never did the rare thing, just grinding normal commodities.

Got a new Adder tonight. Lost it ten minutes later when I got interdicted, got my canopy shattered, killed the bad guy, but didn’t make it to a station in time to dock since the ship wouldn’t align properly to go into frameshift until it was too late.

I love this game.

I hope it was insured!

I took everyone’s advice and purchased it - I will wait until the official launch and in reality probably will not get to play until Christmas vacation.

It was, didn’t cost TOOOO much to replace, but still, ugh, lost cargo and a mission.

I did find some neat ancient “artefacts” later though, but since they’re illegal I can only sell 'em at black markets, so I gotta find one! Wheee!

If you’re still near the Aiabiko system (like when we hung out on November 22nd), Haber Dock has one, and it’s an outpost so there’s no pesky system security about. Jett Ring has one as well but it’s a proper station.

Oh, I slogged all the way over back to Chango Dock, so I’m likely not near there anymore.

Ah. Well, if you don’t mind availing yourself of extra - game help, the Frontier forums have a Black Market thread that might be useful.

Ah yes, found it, thank you.

Oooh! Is this new with the 2.04 patch that just dropped this morning? When I turned in a mission, it gave me a summary screen that indicated what faction I helped, my standing with that faction, and what impacts that mission had on the system/faction (in this case, economic boost).

Thank kind of feedback is a huge improvement for me.

It was introduced in Gamma 2, and yes, it’s a good change.

I hope to get in tonight after work finally. I sat down to finally get out in the real part of the game last night and was faced with a new client and really long download when I hit the Upgrade button instead of just doing the training missions. I believe I am part of the full access group, but I guess I haven’t really tried to play other than the training missions so I can’t be sure. It used to just give me a Play button so I am not sure what all this Upgrade stuff is about.

I will find out this weekend either way. I believe I am fully in as I got in the jpinard group a little while ago, but time will tell. I still need to run the fighting training missions again now that I have my joystick hooked up as I did them with Mouse+Keyboard the last time.

I am behind on following the game quite a bit, but is there any voice chat support in game and if not, are you guys using something to communicate in game? My HyperX headset just came in yesterday also and I am looking for something to try it out on :).

Can someone explain the purpose of being in a group? Are there group missions? Is it just a social thing? Must you be near each other in-game?
