Kicked off of RPG Codex? What could he possibly do? Eat live puppies in a TicToc?

It’s been a really long time, but I think it was the usual: flame wars, trolling and fights with other admins. They stripped him off his admin rights and he demanded to take down his designs. This was pre-social media.
Somehow it makes sense that he gained fame and made money as a pro-Trump twitter commentator even though he’s some loudmouth kid living in Malaysia.

Gotcha. Thanks.
Everything is cool on RPG Codex. Racism, sexism, homophobia… but don’t piss off the mods.

So he kept the most inefficient coders, and got rid of those who were brilliant at writing sleek code. Wow, brilliant.

I’m pretty sure Subaru was advertising on Twitter. They had a whole series of National Make Your Dog Happy ads, and Twitter is one of the few places I see ads regularly, so I’m pretty sure that’s where I saw them.
So there’s the package. 30 days of severance, plus 60 days of “notice” pay to satisfy WARN.
To get the 30 days of severance, they have to sign a separation agreement. Otherwise it’s just the 60 days.
It’s not the greatest, but I think it isn’t terrible either.

God this is all so badly written. I would have noped on a book with this much clunky, cliche right wing “outrage” a long time ago.
Do we have an over/under on when Elon drops the n-word (or equivalent)?
Good article on layoffs from the inside.

Oh man, I was Twitter mutuals with Ian for a while, pre gamergate. It was just normal posting.
GG rotted people’s brains.
Or, at least worked as a way to weed out the awful people.

It Twitter ethers, folks will go to more focused echo chambers. I know the place I’d be going would be a lot more intolerant of right-wing opinion.
I find myself discussing politics very little there, as well, since folks agree for the most part, it’s pointless, which frees me up to discuss life things a lot more.
How long until Elon decides this plaything is too expensive and too complicated to keep?
How does someone get so broken their greatest dream in life is to lick the choggle from a billionaire edge lord’s pants?
I mean who the fuck is “we”? Does that chucklefuck imagine Elmo will deign to allow him to keep any spare change he finds in the pockets of those pants?

More likely he declares “mission accomplished” and hands it off to someone else to run, then blames them when revenues are insufficient to service the debt.
That sounds plausible.
I figure we’re 60-120 days from someone launching an actual twitter alternative that may make it obsolete, though I guess we’ll see.
Within 4 months? And that will suddenly be good and practical enough to draw more people than mastodon and all the other clunky places that the Twitter quitters try to sell as alternatives?
I personally very much doubt it. People are entrenched and have their social circles they follow on Twitter. You need a large exodus to draw people away from that. 4 months for a well thought out Twitter killer to come out sounds like a flight of fancy to me.
Isn’t Parler and Truth Social for sale? Just buy and launch your new alternative! Truth Social has seen so little usage it’s practically new! /jk
