Elon calls it Hardcore Posting.
The pay is the same.
I’m going to need to see your most salient posts and what they’ve contributed to the forum by 2pm.

The somewhat slower pace of the stream of idiocy during the weekend makes me think we aren’t hardcoring hard enough. Disappointing.
So Safe Harbor allows companies to dodge liability if they take this stuff down in time. But if Twitter isn’t…

I’m confused about something. Isn’t there some kind of labor law protecting employees from being coerced to work 80+ hours a week? I can see how doctors might have to do that, but this is stupid twitter.
It feels like a step back to Victorian times with abusive management and textile mills.
In the US? Mostly ‘no’. Employment is at will, and salaried people are exempt from laws that protect wage laborers. That’s why companies try to wring all their ‘productivity gains’ out of professionals and middle managers.

I just don’t understand this. You could kill someone with a weaker immune system forcing them to work that much.
Well, you can say ‘no’. They usually won’t fire you immediate for that, but your career track will surely be derailed.
We live in a kind of capitalist dystopia. It’s not as bad as it could be, to be sure, but it is worse than it ought to be.

Sadly this seems true, although unfortunately Elon has a lot more money and controls companies that can really affect us.
That’s the real key, here. In our society (and maybe others, but this is about the US right now) wealth is the be all and end all. It sets morality, determines right and wrong, and carries with it its own justification for nearly any action. People don’t condemn the super wealthy because they have bought into the idea that to do so will make it less likely that they will become one of them–when of course the chances of that are near zero. Somehow the obscenely wealthy have convinced most Americans that any attempt to rein them in is equivalent to stifling the average person’s hope of success.
On top of that, there is a large portion of our population, largely but not entirely male, that glorifies the idea of the “man who gets what he wants,” that idolizes men who can tell people off, do what they want, and have all the toys (and women; that’s a huge part of this) anytime they want as well. It’s as if having realized they have no chance at all in their own lives to live their dreams, they double-down on the people living theirs, and the anger of lost or never present opportunities for themselves fuels their acceptance of the damage their idols do. They truly do want to burn it all down I think…

Wasn’t Elon going to shoot himself to Mars? If so, how much longer do we have to wait?

Seems like we’ve reached the point where the question is, “Are the proles going to keep listening to us?” Y’all gotta delete your twitter accounts for the good of humanity.
Man, this sentence was a roller coaster.

Is there a way to get twitter news/links without going to twitter? I don’t want to give them clicks anymore but so much stuff refers back there.

IF it’s a public account, you don’t need an account to read links
Trump being reinstated was a last straw between wait and see and nuke it now.
