Trump doesn’t need to go back to Twitter. His Truth shitposts are immediately posted on Twitter.
OTOH when Truth Social tanks he will be there.
I’ve been using nitter.net, kind of a front-end site for Twitter. Since there’s really only a few posters I want to check, it’s an easy way to have my account cancelled and not have that stupid login thing popup in my way.
Anyone know what that tool is? It looks neat.

Kanye West is back on Twitter too
This is one of those moments for the “well my Twitter hasn’t changed” people to check themselves and see what they want to support
I didn’t quit the platform when Trump was on it before. I still feel guiltier about using Facebook than Twitter. If Twitter doesn’t implode and force my hand I’ll be off FB first. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Would you have stayed in if Trump wasn’t banned after Jan 6?
Probably, I never seriously considered leaving then either.
I have a lot of strong negative feelings about Trump, but sharing such a broad platform with him, and one with so many controls to limit my exposure to his nonsense there, never made me seriously consider quitting Twitter just because he was allowed to be there too.
I think way beyond the pandering of Fox News and the like, the media across the board failed to hold him accountable and put more energy into riding the “controversy” for clicks and views. Internet, TV, print, etc. Not all to an equal degree, I’m not trying to say everyone was exactly as complicit, but it was a problem everywhere. I think Twitter should’ve banned him for TOS violations long before January 6.
But none of that pushed me to abandon the platform. I wouldn’t blame someone or say they’re stupid if it did drive them away, but I wasn’t convicted that me leaving was of meaningful benefit to myself or anyone else.

I don’t get ads, I don’t pay Twitter anything, I can use it without giving them anything but my email address. I am not really supporting anything.

It’s a pretty common meme, I have seen it used for a bunch stuff.

Trying to guilt people for not leaving a social media site is unfair and tricky. You can certainly guilt people into not signing up.
Many people have a lot of connections and friends tied into the system. Groups that have nothing to do with the nightmare that the service is becoming.
Being on the same platform as a terrible person isn’t support for that person.

I’m familiar with the meme it’s just wild for him to post this when he’s trying to get Trump back on the platform. I’d say he has a humiliation kink but I think he’s just the world’s worst poster

I guess he doesn’t surprise me. He’s a troll that gives no fucks.
What if the platform is run by a terrible person?
You don’t get served promoted posts?

Third party apps don’t get ads or promoted tweets. Never have.

I don’t want to support Twitter and want it to go away because I don’t like the owner, but I still want to read it. Ok.
Us nobodies don’t matter. No one really cares if we have an account.
