Profiles in courage, to be sure!

Musk delenda est.

I’m just guessing here. But I think that Musk backing DeathSantis will move more votes than Kanye backing himself or Trump.

Only thing surprising about that is that he didn’t announce he was supporting Kanye’s canidacy.

DeSanctimonious? I’m not sure he’ll ever properly recover from Trump’s nickname.

Trending is based on location and follows.

From Twitter Support

How are Trends determined?
Trends are determined by an algorithm and, by default, are tailored for you based on who you follow, your interests, and your location.

So, when someone posts what is “trending” it means literally nothing, as it personalized to the user

Or it was, until they gutted the systems doing that? j/k (maybe?)

My current trending is all sports and wrestling

Tweet alleging Tesla decided to install beta software on cars (with no sourcing)

Anytime hear anything about that?

Yes, from Elon’s tweet announcing everyone could get the self driving beta a few days ago.

Here’s the article

It went live three days ago:

I can’t stand Elon and I think paying for FSD is basically burning your money, but even so, I think this is just bad optics/timing that falls apart when you actually look at it.

For one thing, a major reason why I think FSD is a waste of money is how much of a clown show software updates are. There is very little rhyme or reason, they just happen at weird times and can take between 30 - 180 minutes to install on your car.

So I can’t really see a scenario of Elon announcing something at like 10am and enough cars received and installed the update to cause a pile up later that afternoon.

I think the pile up is just regular phantom braking (another reason I think FSD is a waste of money) that was highly visible/notable right when Elon did an announcement about an FSD update.

The tweet is dated the 25th.

I like how the user active minutes shows Jan 1, 2020 to Nov 15, 2020. I guess he fired all the people that might have caught that?

Or he just fired the person that should have caught that.

Of course he’s using the same metric he decried as false and highly inflated by bots just weeks ago. So strange that there’s nothing in that roadmap about the bot problem that was paramount such a short time ago. Surely he’d have a solution to this critical problem that he himself identified before the planned mass unbanning of accounts that would according to his stated criteria restore accounts banned for being bots (as that is not illegal).

I do love the top priority, “Advertising as entertainment”. Wonder what that will translate to.

Why does that sound so familiar? “Those numbers are lies until I’m in charge then they are the God’s honest truth.”
