There’s being loose and not uptight about things, and then there is totally missing the boat and misreading the room, among other things. I mean, yeah, if it was, say, Jeff Bezos or even better Bill Gates who said “you have tiny testicles,” it’d be hilarious. But with Musk, it is just pathetic. That sort of humor–which I do appreciate most of the time, being about 13 years old in that part of my brain–depends on the contrast between public persona/image and the juvenility of the response. So, if like the Pope said it, it’d be epic. But if a buffoon who always says stuff like that says it, it…isn’t.

I am not getting defensive. I know how this place works. If I don’t agree with the group think, I get mocked. So I am playing along.
I quit Twitter because of Musk. It’s dead to me. I don’t care what happens to it or what he says. I am not an investor in any of his companies and he’s just some rich guy who gets everyone upset. Not my problem, I follow this thread purely so I can follow Qt3s outrage.

Clearly any mocking or disapproval of Elon’s public antics makes some people very upset. Strange how enjoying the schadenfreude of a public self clowning so upsets people who have no assocatuon with him. Why this upsets certian people so much that they feel the need to defend or minimize the clownish behavior is just a mystery to me. Why would mocking such a figure upset people to such an extreme level?

Well, you were clearly very upset when someone point out just how weak the “tiny testicles” response was. You were so upset, and clearly still are so upset, that you missed the entire point that that poster was making about the “comeback” in your rush to defend Elon and declare him witty. When you missing the point was pointed out you became so upset you declared that everyone else was in fact the people who were upset over Elon’s brilliant and funny comeback instead of realizing what they were saying the in the first place. Now the notion that you are an Elon fanboy has upset you so much you are trying to defend the accusation (that wasn’t actually made) and responding like someone who took my sarcastic mocking over you declaring other people “upset” as serious and are now showing that you are clearly upset.
