Huh, this thing slipped past me completely (the first one, that is) and I’m going to go ahead and blame the title. Pity, too, since it looks right up my alley.
Worth a pick up at this point? Or would it be better to wait for the new one?

Endzone 2 looks like its coming along nicely, I haven’t tried the demo yet.
I really enjoyed it once I got over a few frustrations, particularly with building identification (which I see they have since tried to address) and location.
I love exploring in games so like the expedition part but YMMV.
I’m not sure when/if all those changes mentioned in the dev blog have been implemented yet as I played about 7 days or so and some weren’t in then; I haven’t noticed any updates since then although I could have missed one I guess.
I decided to play Endzone (original) again since I never played it to completion on release waiting for DLC. This game is wonderful, but absolutely rage inducing. In fact I’ve never had a game make me so angry before. The problem is the incredible speed with which a thriving base can suddenly fall apart and die… with literally no way to recover. You never have enough people to meet demand, and in trying to get enough people you run out of water and food which may have previously been in good supply. Then the disasters hit after you run out of needed good (or causes it) and you end up in a death spiral. You then realize 6 hours of playing down the drain because… did you really learn anything by losing? Not really because it was external random factors that doomed your colony.
Have any of you been successful on Medium difficulty or higher? I have to change a lot of options to survive… basically down to Easy to have any hope of making it beyond Season 150.
