Thanks Paul. Your mention of install gave me pause, as I haven’t installed the game since I purchased it. So, in the spirit of honesty, I just installed the game on a different PC and can confirm that indeed, Anno1800 can be downloaded, installed, and played via the EGStore.
I obviously can’t speak for everyone, but anyone claiming all Ubisoft games fail via the Epic store is clearly not being honest.
Blizzard esports has been a joke for years. This sounds like a great career move for Nanzer. Based on Blizzard’s esports history, this sounds like bad news for Epic though.
I took advantage of the sale and got Operencia, a game similar to Grimrock but I like it much more.
The store experience was just fine. After installation I have an icon on my desktop which launches the game and the epic app in the background. Can’t start the game without it but I didn’t really expect that. And since Epic is starting much quicker then steam on my machine I don’t really feel the delay.
The Outer Wilds is getting really strong reviews.

Bah. Still can’t buy The Division 2 off Epic during their $10 off sale.
Somehow I had that game added to my MS account library for free. I’m assuming it came from watching something on Mixer.
Wow, that’s a great giveaway. Austin Walker’s head over heels in love with it (convinced me to take advantage of the EGS sale, and get it for $10 off).
Yeah, pretty cool giveaway.
Got to hand it to Epic, that $10 discount got me spending a fair amount of money over the past couple of weeks. There’s something about the ten bucks off the top that feels more like a “real” sale, that wouldn’t be repeated soon. Whether that’s actually the case remains to be seen.
At any rate, it got a lot of games below that key $15 fuck it, why not? threshold.
Huh, I actually thought that it was a bit more confusing than that. Like, I was mentally taking 10 bucks off the list price only to find out the list price already had it factored in.
I still haven’t bought anything during the sale, but every day World War Z tempts me.
WWZ is solid fun, especially if you like FPS with swarms of enemies. One of my first experiences with that kind of FPS was with Serious Sam, which evoked wide-eyed laughter during my early 2000s gaming.
Really? None of the list prices had it already factored in. You knock off $10 unless the list price is under $15.

I just wish there was a direct link to all the sale games. Bless there’s only like 20 things for sale I don’t see a full list
I mean, it’s ten bucks off everything in the entire store with a list price over $15.
They did when I went on the store on the first day.
