Say what you will about EGS, they have the best progress bars.

Yeah, it’s mesmirizing. Like an old defrag progress screen but faster!

Functionality useless since you can’t reorder transfers or tell total scratch space size required to patch

Free game claims will now require a “periodic” 2-factor authorization.

Only for a few weeks. They are just trying to get people to protect their accounts, though I think the better way would have been to give away one really awesome thing and require it for that.

Epic is all about choice, so I am sure they’re open to feedback about this particular approach.

They did give away a Fortnite skin a few years ago if you enabled it as I recall.

Ahem, @misguided DID say “awesome thing”… and that does not qualify!

Did they remove the amazon payment option? Seems to be missing now.

The download “manager” on Epic is really awful. I have nothing constructive to say just whining. But really.

Maybe I’m a bit blind at the moment. Where is the button to show me my games library?

Lol , left side of the client , its labeled Library.

Thanks, but I should have mentioned I meant the Epic store in the browser. I don’t see a list of my games in there. I either have to browse the receipts and click “more” a gazillion times or I have to guess and check the game by hand.

I wonder how many are like me… who only fires up Epic to collect free games but never ending up playing…

raises hand

I log on every week just to grab the freebie, log off immediately and never use it. I just can’t pass up free shit…even bad free shit I’ll probably never use.

At least I dont have to pay like the way I do for my gigantic backlog of Steam games I acquired in “irresistible” sales ha!

Up to now I’ve mostly just opened the Epic store to get the free stuff. But I’m going to buy Old World since it seems pretty neat, so I will soon be acutually playing a game there.

Most of the time playing a game through the Epic store is transparent, and no different than playing it through any other front end. Certain games pass you through to the publisher platform, like Ubisoft, which can be mildly annoying (as sometimes for whatever reason it doesn’t work), but that’s about it for bother.

I absolutely only log in for free stuff. But not because of the whole “Epic bad” thing - merely most of the stuff I actually play is still steam/gog/whatever else. But I snag the free stuff off any storefront that is offering. Collecting is the game, right?
