Yeah after you typed.
What a scrappy goal.
England looking deflated there.
Italy very much on the front foot now. And Chiesa remains a problem that England hasn’t been able to solve.
Yeah they’ve got the initiative now.
We need to start sparking again.
Open game, but I think England will win this, unless their defensive cohesion falls apart.
Almost fell apart there. Yikes.
Simple ball over the top opens England up but the shot flies over
Italy living in England’s third right now.
England need to get their composure back, they are looking a little ragged
Italy just playing more confidently, rolling the attack forward as they have all match. Playing like a side that’s down a goal almost.
Very little pressure in midfield from England, Italy getting a lot of time on the ball
Getting to the point where any goal is likely fatal.
Also - I take back what I said previously about Mancini’s replacement of Barella with Cristante. He brought in some attacking threat in the air for Italy, and he was also crucial on that corner. Good substitution.
Losing Chiesa would be huge.
Poor Italy. Losing Chiesa is a bad blow, and a pity for the final (for us who are neutral). Best player on the pitch today.
Edit: And then not after all. Hope he’s still fit for fight.
Would be a good time to get another England substitute on I think.
Chiesa still not moving real well, even though he’s back on.
We’ll see what happens when Italy come on the attack though.
Yep, not a phantom injury, he wasn’t able to run out there.
Verratti and Insigne enjoying the show as a spectator runs across the field.
