Suppose I’ve got some data in C3, that is derived from a formula like, =SUM(C1,C2). If I select C3 and ctrl-c crtl-v elsewhere, I copy the formula. Is it possible to select and copy the data and not the formula? Thanks so much for any help!
Once you’ve copied the cell/range choose Edit, Paste Special, Values.
I intend to name my firstborn after you.
Select the cell.
Copy (Ctrl c)
Select the destination cell.
Edit -> Paste special -> Values
Edit:
Too slow.
Any of you guys got a few minutes to help me with some advanced excel formulas? If so, please PM me and I’ll send you an example. Too complex to describe in a post.
EDIT: Solution found.
How complex are we talking?
Don’t worry, paid some person in Hanoi $30 to sort it out for me. The internet is a wonderful thing!
Damn, missed this one. I love any excuse to figure out something new in Excel.
What was the issue? Want to see how hard it is to earn $30 :)
It was using embedded INDEX & MATCH functions in addition to the SUMIF I already built. Basically looking at one table to see a percentage to apply to another brought forward number from another table to apply to a specific row from another specific row. If you are really interested then i can email you the excel file.
That would probably take a whole department where I am.
