Failing Trump administration. Sad!

I mean, it’s literally rooted in evangelical nonsense about the one world government, the antichrist, and all that, is it not? Not surprising that it doesn’t make any fucking sense in the actual world of facts that we live in.

Hey, let’s not ignore all the work Illuminati & NWO conspiracy theorists put towards that!

Originally it was. But then the other idiots got on board with it and it became even dumber.

The UN is a bunch of evil foreigners who want to impose world government on the U.S.!

Also, Kim Jong Un is preferable to Nancy Pelosi, Russia is great, and so what if they tampered with our election – don’t you think we had it coming?

The fucking cognitive dissonance coming out of the Right now could be used to power a perpetual motion machine and end climate change. If only they believed in climate change.

Which have a very large crossover with said evangelical community.

Source: grew up in evangelical community. Their big blockbuster book series of the 90’s literlally has the UN Secretary General become the Antichrist

The real world twist of course, is that the Antichrist actually turns out to be … the President. (Get this, his son-in-law literally owns 666 Fifth Avenue.*)

And, of course, the evangelicals support him anyway.

The U.S. ambassador to Estonia, James D. Melville Jr., a career diplomat and member of the senior foreign service ranks, announced to friends Friday that he was resigning amid a string of controversial comments President Donald Trump made about U.S. allies in Europe.

Melville, who has served as a diplomat for 33 years and as ambassador to Estonia since 2015, was due to retire soon but said in a private Facebook post announcing his retirement that Trump’s behavior and comments accelerated his decision.

“A Foreign Service Officer’s DNA is programmed to support policy and we’re schooled right from the start, that if there ever comes a point where one can no longer do so, particularly if one is in a position of leadership, the honorable course is to resign. Having served under six presidents and 11 secretaries of state, I never really thought it would reach that point for me,” he wrote in the post, which was obtained by Foreign Policy.

“For the President to say the EU was ‘set up to take advantage of the United States, to attack our piggy bank,’ or that ‘NATO is as bad as NAFTA’ is not only factually wrong, but proves to me that it’s time to go,” he wrote, citing Trump’s reported comments in recent weeks that have unnerved U.S. allies.

The post surprised several State Department officials who worked with Melville, describing him as a consummate professional who never let domestic politics impact his job.

The Trump administration feared it would be a “public relations nightmare”: a major federal study that concluded contaminated groundwater across the country, especially near military bases, was more toxic than the government realized. Political aides to President Donald Trump and Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt pressured the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry against releasing the results.

Well that’s not acceptable, for military families or anyone else… not that Flint’s problem created any change whatsoever.

But surely the GOP will “support the troops?” That has to be more than an empty slogan they throw around to convince themselves their bullshit is patriotism?

(You’re right… nothing will happen)

We recently moved to Maine, where the vast majority of homes are supplied by private wells. While we eventually settled in Freeport, we did look at a few houses in nearby Brunswick, but ultimately eliminated them because they were too near the Brunswick Executive Airport… formerly a Naval Air Station, and responsible for the contamination of the groundwater in the surrounding area. Supposedly they’ve been monitoring the hazard levels for years, but you’ll probably understand that I’m not really confident that any and all such reports are necessarily thorough or accurate.

These PFAS chemicals are awful; they aren’t just used around military bases. It’s been a scandal in my neck of the woods, where the company that developed them poisoned the groundwater. It’s a very costly problem to clean up, not to mention the tragic deaths and illnesses caused by them.

This Australian periodical had an excellent overview of the problem.

Ideally, these places would be identified and decontaminated as quickly and transparently as possible.

Behold the Fair and Reciprocal Tariff (or FART) Act.

“The good news is Congress would never give this authority to the president,” the source added, describing the bill as “insane.”

HAHAHAHAHAHA There are people that still haven’t learned anything. It is amazing in a horrifying way.

how do these folks still have their jobs?

Much swamp. Such draining. Wow.

This is the end result of a philosophy of government always being the problem and incapable of accomplishing anything (except when it comes to the military of course, they can do no wrong). Who cares what’s happening at the EPA, the FCC, the Department of Education or any other agency? They’re worthless and ineffective anyway, so who cares if they’re completely corrupt. That’s what Government is, right? Ineffective corruption, so what’s the bother? Insert some whataboutism of any minor scandal involving anyone in a Democratic administration to seal the argument that both sides do it and are just as bad so why does it matter, anyway?

Oh god…is that real…?

Search your feelings, you know it to be true!
