I imagine a lot of us would like to lay some “freedom gas” in the face of the idiots that came up with this.

Her brow is furrowed. She’s deeply concerned.

I currently live in Maine. Even those to the left used to be somewhat okay with Susan Collins, because for a long time she really did seem to be somewhat moderate, and more importantly, seemed to vote according to what her constituents wanted. She seemed to actually consider what was best for Mainers, and not what was best for the Republican party. That has all gone by the wayside under Trump and now she dutifully votes the party line. So yeah, much of Maine is not happy with her at all.

I’m not really sure what her game plan is. There was talk that she might not run for re-election in 2020, instead considering a run for Governor, though I doubt she could win that at this point either. (And last I heard she’d decided against that anyway?) Most of Maine is quite rural, and those areas are definitely red… it’s just that the areas where the vast majority of actual people live are pretty blue. I’ll be amazed if she somehow wins re-election in 2020 (without help from Russia).

Has any Dem announced a challenge yet?

Good, maybe she should have thought about that before she voted for an alcoholic would-be rapist hyperpartisan dickwad like Kavanaugh to sit on the Supreme Court.

See, I saw the headline and assumed she lost approval rating because she wasn’t enough of a racist white man, so she’d be replaced with someone more appropriate.

For a while, Susan Rice was talking about running against her but she recently announced that she will not be. No one else has announced yet, which is a bit of a worry for those of us who would really like Collins out. I mean, I’m sure someone will come along and run, but it would be nice to have someone capable rather than someone who is just “not Susan Collins” (though I’ll vote for whoever that person is anyway, assuming they’re somehow not worse than Susan Collins)…

This is certainly the story she tells her constituents, but can anyone point to the actual votes she’s cast which point to her ‘moderation’ and desire to do good for Maine at the expense of the GOP? I mean, it’s pretty much always been a con, right?

Most likely, yeah. I mean, she voted against repealing the ACA, for example, but it’s become increasingly clear that she’s been “allowed” to vote against things in cases where her vote didn’t matter. That’s no longer the case. It may just be that it was her Kavanaugh vote that finally opened most Mainers’ eyes.

Nope, that was a fake.

Speaking of that, has anyone been paying attention to her shenanigans as Transportation Secretary? If so, does it stink as bad as it looks? Because it looks pretty stinky.

“Chao Corruption Shocking Even For Scandal-Plagued Donald Trump Cabinet
| Rachel Maddow | MSNBC”

When you put John Gotti’s moron, incompetent twin brother in the White House, there should be nothing shocking.

Seriously. It was shocking that Trump was elected, everything else just follows as expected.

In other words:

Is there anyone who is seriously surprised by this reaction though? I mean, at this point, the White House is clearly moving to desensitize Americans to gross violations of the Constitution, political protocol and Rule of Law. This is so that on Election Night 2020, when Trump loses, the White House can issue a statement proclaiming the election process “deeply flawed”, and call for an investigation on how the vote counts were “unclear” and election regulations “unevenly applied”, and the Trump Administration will then refuse to vacate the White House until such an investigation is “completed to it’s satisfaction” (meaning never).
