The measure for just how bad the trump regime is - Jeff Sessions was the sane and reasonable one.
According to senior administration officials who spoke to the Post, Pirro was hellbent on getting the gig and pressed aggressively for it.
Sessions ultimately stepped in and stopped her from getting the job. And she in turn used her platform at Fox News to pummel the attorney general as the the most “dangerous person” in the U.S. over his recusal from the Russia probe.
In fairness, she’s a little brown for Sessions’ tastes.
I link this not because I endorse it, but to point out the smug douchiness of people like Sykes. YOUR fucking party all got trampled into the dirt by a blowhard and buffoon, and what’s more, allowed him to totally take over the entire party. Why should Democrats be taking advice from abject failures like yourself? What are YOU doing to take back your party, for that matter, what are YOU doing to primary the most criminal and inept president in history? What are YOU doing to clean your house of nazis and white supremacists? How about you take your own advice?

At this point, if you take a job as WH Press Secretary for this administration, you are the biggest idiot alive, or you literally do not care about whether people think you are an entirely unethical liar.
You’re guaranteeing that you will have to lie to the entire country on a daily basis.
For Sean Spicer, you could say, “Hey, maybe he didn’t know that Trump was going to make him lie, overtly, every single day.”

Couldn’t someone take the press sec job and just not lie even if trump told them to? Then if he threatens the person, they could just go to the press and tell them trump wanted her to lie?

Well, he wouldn’t appoint anyone like that. Jeff Sessions was just about the most in-the-tank cretin for Trump you could imagine, and even he was too independent for Trump’s liking.
