It’s interesting to look at the list of Senators who voted to confirm Acosta despite his handling of the Epstein case.

Of course every single Republican voted to confirm, but there were only 52 Republicans in the Senate. 8 Democrats also voted to confirm. To some extent they are the usual suspects — Democrats in red or purple states tacking right to keep their seat — but a couple are just weird.
