Not much else he can say when yet another of his would be appointees turns out to be a fraud. He should never be surprised, though – only frauds and losers are ever willingly going to be Trump toadies.

Extreme vetting = no vetting at all, let the media vet for you.
MAGA!

That 6% must be constantly calling the WH to express how much they love DJT.

Eh, i think that argument gets a bit weaker when you realize that job creation gets harder as you approach full employment, which is basically where we are.

That that Trump’s suggestion he has done amazingly isn’t bull, but that argument presented there still seems a bit off.

The prime age employment rate is certainly higher now, but it still hasn’t recovered to where it was in 2008, and it isn’t close to the peak high in 2000. I think you’re right that the growth rate has slowed for natural reasons, but I don’t think we are at full employment; I just think some people (like me) have dropped out of the workforce and aren’t counted as unemployed anymore.

umm…I thought Obama took over when the economy was completely trashed from the GW years, and helped in fixing it. Is that a typo from Mr Kellyanne or just wishful thinking?

Obama actually took over right before the worst of the recession, and the economy tanked hard just after he took office. This had the effect of bringing all of his economic numbers way down if you are looking at change from beginning to end of his administration, since so much ended up simply being recovering to even after a huge fall.

5,000,000 jobs were lost in 2009. Which used to be consistently subtract from Obama’s job creation numbers by the republican media. What makes 30 months a nice comparison is that it is long enough to sound like a representative sample, but is still short enough to exclude 09.

But as long as we insist on being the party of carefully accurate interpretation of data, we will continue to get hammered.

Probably why they are comparing numbers only through consistently rising period. I guess his point is when you are low or depressed but rising, it’s easier to get increases faster than when you are already high but still rising.

The best thing that can be said about Trump’s presidency is that he hasn’t managed to fuck up the economy. So far.

What’s frustrating is that so many people seem to think that the health of the economy is the only thing we should ever be concerned about.

He hasn’t fucked up today’s Obama economy. But effects of his actions will be joining us eventually.

Well, tariffs…

Rumors are he’s running for Governor.

Huntsman would have been a good GOP nominee at one point, but he’s way too intellectual for the modern republican party.

“intellectual” being he can actually read.

He also has Mitt Romney levels of charisma.

Didn’t Utah have a sizeable vote for a 3rd party candidate in 2016 because people didn’t want to vote for Trump (or a democrat)? I still had hope for Utah at that point, though from @KevinC has been saying people have been normalizing Trump since then and are getting behind him.
