In this thread we often talk about failed nominations. I had no idea Barry Meyers, his nominee for the head of NoAA kept getting resubmitted every year.
John Oliver did a whole segment about it in last night’s show:
Trump’s decision on Syrian policy is pretty easy to figure out if you take into account that he refuses to read or even listen to any intelligence from his advisors about such things, doesn’t care about the Middle East, and couldn’t even find Syria on a map, and oh yeah, it’s full of brown moose lambs anyway. It took him all of two seconds to combine “People were always criticizing Obama for not pulling us out of there” with his phone call with Erdogran where a “strong leader” Trump likes made promises to “keep the region secure and take those ISIS prisoners off your hands for you” and Trump thought “Wow! This is totally a win-win! I’m going to look amazing when this plays out…maybe even Nobel Peace Prize amazing!”.

Because facts don’t matter to DJT, his supporters and the bulk of the GOP, he likely thinks he can sell screwing them but saying he’s helping them and then of course his Trump worship will still be intact.
