I call BS. No way Trump “reads” anything longer than a menu. If he truly read the NY Times and Washington Post even semi-regularly, he’d be making a hell of a lot more sense when he talks, and probably better informed decisions overall. He probably has an aide read him the articles that criticize him so he can work up the energy to go out at a rally and rant incoherently about them.
Don’t kink shame them. Maybe George Conway enjoys being shit on in public.
I’m sure he’s mostly looking at headlines and pictures. Apparently he’s always delighted in seeing his picture in the NYT.

I’d venture almost no one reads the entire thing word for word, especially if you consider all the ads. But I’ve gone through a newspaper page by page many times.
You look at headlines and skim some articles and read others in full.
My guess is Trump looks at the first page or two for his name and when he doesn’t see it, he puts it down. He’s done.

That article, coming from the the Washington Examiner, is very hard to parse. Normally the Examiner devotes itself heart and soul to singing the praises of Trump’s every belch and fart. The idea of one of its reporters taking one of his inner circle to task is mind-boggling. Did some Examiner editor, driven to drink by the impossibility defending Trump every day, momentarily slip their leash? Is this some sort of internal feud? Is it Trump giving a warning to Conway? (Rumor has it she may be the “Anonymous” of the famed op-ed.)
… But ultimately it’s better to pass it over. Better to save our limited energy on more important things. Like the Attorney General fabricating charges to prosecute his political enemies with.
Life is rarely so cut and dried. Mark Felt, the deputy director of the FBI, and the famous Deep Throat source, was pissed at J.Edgar Hoover for not recommending him as the FBI directory. So there is a lot of speculation that there was more to his leaks than his concern for America.
