The thing is, whether you approve of death by drone or not, Obama had congressional authorization for attacking Al Quaeda members like bin Laden and al-Awlaki. And the US didn’t kill Qaddafi. So everything in the original tweet is wrong. It’s a clean whiff.

He seems to be working the ‘imminent threat doesn’t matter’ angle, which would make sense given that trump tried and failed on another simultaneous assassination - tough to make the imminent threat case for both of them. Not that doing things legally actually crosses anyone’s mind at the white house until after the fact. Still, watching the spinning to try to figure out something to say that sounds close to legal after they break the law is at least mildly entertaining. Shame it’s our country though - I’m more used to this being done by russia, china, north korea, etc.
