Once you break 10 allegations there is nearly a zero percent chance it is made up.
Once you break two dozen…

Dude is at 25.

Like how we all defended Al Franken to the death! Oh wait, no, we didn’t. Maybe both sides aren’t the same?

I’m still happy that Democrats don’t do the party over everything defense, but that’s not this.

A single false accusation is devastating. Do you remember the George W / Dan Rather thing? People can’t stand that shit and we shouldn’t stand by it.

I still think he’s a scumbag due to the 24 other allegations, but we shouldn’t abide fake shit.

For VA? Hell no, he’s a terrible choice, even by Trump standards. Which is why everyone, Republican and Dem alike, is rushing to throw him under the bus.

Right now, Jackson has something like 70 people under him. The VA has 377,000 employees. There’s no reason to think Jackson would be any good running an organization that large, and, as it turns out, many, many reasons to think he’d be terrible at it.

Add to that the fact the VA is pretty much the most politically sensitive department there is. The GOP may be fine, or even delighted, with State, EPA, NASA etc. being run terribly. But not even Republicans want to be known as the ones who screwed over injured war veterans.

John Kelly would possibly be a decent fit for VA.

Throwing under the bus means to betray someone.

“Turn on him,” then. He looked OK at a distance, but as soon as they started to do their due diligence, everyone noped out.

GOP.
Due diligence.

HAHAHAHAH

Sure now that this all came out it does, but prior to this he seemed fine. He was a doctor and a rear admiral, and was to run the VA. Those are all decent qualifications for that posting in most books.

Of course once he was under scrutiny it all fell apart, but it’s not like he was Perry or Devos.

I am not a superstitious man but if I was on a boat with Trump I would vote to put him on the nearest desert island. I mean, everyone he touches turns to shit. he is like a political Jonah.

No they aren’t. He had no administrative experience at all, and he’s expected to run the 2nd largest agency in the federal gov’t?

Being an officer is generally regarded as administrative experience to most people.

I mean historically it’s not like secretaries had amazing adminstrative skills as a whole. They were generally just vets or politicians.

This is fine. Right?

Even though the accusations were all fake news, just to be safe the dude isn’t going to be Trump’s doc anymore.

Everyone Trump touches gets screwed. This guy probably lied about Trump’s weight/health, with the promise of some loyalty, etc. Then he gets nominated for a big position, which results in people looking into him, which results in all his shit coming out, and him losing his job. He could have just skated by unnoticed like he had been doing for years if Trump hadn’t have come along and drawn him into his world of shit.

Trump really isn’t used to the type of scrutiny he is under now. After all, he’s probably been laundering money for the Russians for years and no one cared enough to investigate.

Oh, shit. I don’t think Kelly survives the week

Nice to know you, John! However true your assessment, it’s a bit on the impolitic side…

His face says it all.

You don’t say.
