I can think of a lot of worse science advisors than Bill Gates, even though Gates isn’t a scientist.

They make so many sloppy little mistakes. It is only a matter of time before one turns out to be a sloppy big mistake.
He was the White House physician for Obama and W. Bush also. In that capacity, neither man (or Trump for that matter) had many personal interactions with Jackson outside of regular checkups and some travel, so it’s possible they knew nothing about this stuff. But…it seems as if the Secret Service certainly knew some of these things. Dunno if they’re under any obligation to disclose.
You’d think personal physician to the president would require some type of security clearance, right? And that would mean periodic re-screening? I’m thinking by the FBI or the Navy in this case.
I mean, yeah, you’d think. Which is why everyone saying now “Oh yeah, he did this and that” begs so many other questions.
