Nothing I’ve played on Win10, including FO4, has run slower than I would expect it to on Win7 or Win8.

Back playing. First time since moving to Windows 10 which I thought was supposed to be better for gaming than 7. Holy shiz I am down to single digit frames per second. Had to swap it to medium settings to get it to be even playable. Anyone heard of issues like this? Nothing else running other than steam.

That’s odd. I went from 8.1 to 10 about a month ago and Fallout 4 was unaffected.

Delete your graphic drivers and reinstall. Perhaps check the integrity of the game files as well? That should give the a solid kick in the pants.

On Windows 10 + crappy i5 + Nvidia 970 + mods galore, I’m kicking ass and taking names. So, likely a software malfunction somewhere along the way.

Before you do anything you should check if the game’s even using your primary gpu instead of integrated (if you have intel cpu).

Graphics driver is up to date, checking cache reset me to high and removed my inverted mouse, back to single digit fps. Trying other games.

Did you completely uninstall the driver and then reinstall? I mean, just youtubing it shows a 680 on Windows 10 running the game like a hot knife through butter.

Not yet. Just ran Skyrim and it was flawless, trying The Division, I usually get 30FPS on current settings. I did remember something weird tho, last 2 days I got like 8FPs showing on screen with The Division unless I tabbed out and back, and that hit it to 38+. Doing the same trick isnt working on FO4. Not sure releated or not.

Definitely weird. It might be an issue where for whatever reason your system isn’t recognizing it as a game and is reverting to onboard graphics (if you have them). If it’s a laptop, I think it’s the “Omni” thing that you’d have to play around with. If it’s a desktop, checking the Nvidia control panel and 3D settings might point you in the right direction.

I’ve had unbelievably slow load times > 2minutes. Since I fired up the game yesterday for the first time in a couple of months. I’m hoping that they’ll be new patch to go with the DLC and maybe fix the load times.

It’s not just me, seems to be Nvidia cards for those of us who have created custom robots.

Fallout 4 , you suck… Go find Virgil , sure ok no problemo.

I have to fight 3 Deathclaws on my way to his location and quite a few rad scorpions…

A few more hours pass and I am at the part now where I have to choose who I want to build the thing to get into the Institute. Not sure who I want to pick as I still hate all my faction options, and I am sure there is a plentiful fetch quest awaiting me.

I mostly want to finish this up to get the SSD space back.

I’m pretty sure that is a good indication that you should just quit. I just barely pushed on and finished the main quest. I mostly ignored the faction quests because I didn’t see any reason to play it more.
