She is nasty – pistol wielding luck based killer. Just an absolute murderer -=- if you lip her she just mows you down. I argued a month ago tat a deliverer/luck build couldn’t make it --but I think I was wrong. I also yanked the suppresser off that gun and went for range. Ninja/concetrated fire/penetrator/sneak/handgun/better crits/crit banker.
Getting Mcrearys perk soon –
This is a non-mod vanilla.
Sry --whether she can ride a roller coaster down or whatevs in an amusement park I dunno.
I am back --though sadly I think Fallout 4 narrative has gone a bit stale – though I should add I had a lotta fun tonight with a very tightly focused pistol gunslinger – Running the Railroad line.
I think, however, I will finish this cycle with my original Minutelady non-modded character – level 92 riflewoman – she’s nice --she worries about the settlers etc etc –
You know – you can blow off that whole settlement thing and just play the game. Agreed the story is its weakest link – but running around clearing stuff and killing and completing odd quests is still fun --in survival --and not worrying about settlements (just never return to sanctuary) is actually quite liberating.

I’ve been waiting for Nuka World to come out to start my heavily modded survival run. Looking forward to beginning it around Labor Day.
Fascinating!
I’ve been contemplating revisiting the game and just ignoring settlements sounds really appealing. My favorite parts on my first (aborted) playthrough were just wandering around, exploring, and fighting.
I would miss weapon crafting a bit, but then that also bogged me down significantly.
Hmmm, really considering that.
Hey on weapon modding? You can forget gun nut entirely and just look for weapon mods – streamlining play even more. On that character I mentioned above I have not even taken hacking or lockpicking! NOTHING slows me down! And with a pistol?
It occurs to me that way way up on this thread I discounted a stealth/pistol/ crit build with the deliverer. I was wrong. You can MURDER with it – esp if you consider going with NO companions! (lone wolf) (or lonesome wanderer)
Run with a few companions for a coupla perks – but then go solo. You becoming a true killing machine.
It has been fun --she’s railroad all the way.
Nice. Thanks for all of your insights and experiences that you post here. It keeps renewing my enthusiasm for Fallout 4 and different ways I might be able to better enjoy my experience.
BTW I know this might be blasphemy --but I take the silencer off the deliverer for longer ranged accuracy. That and a few companion perks, and the regular sneak/crit damage perk (not sandman) is very good.

So Survival Mode removes the console? What jackass thought that was a good idea?
This game is still buggy as fuck and now I guess I “lost” because my character bugged out and I can’t move anymore. Good Job Bethesda, you’re fucking geniuses.
I can’t find a mod to fix it either since they’re all for old versions and don’t seem to work at all.
What a shit show.

The Nukaland patch didn’t seem to change the .exe, so the current F4SE + this mod should still work?

At least its still working for me.
And yes, FO4 bugs in survival can be a bitch. Like the time I somehow created a clusterfuck of faction inter-fighting including aggro-ing my companion by drop-falling in power armor next to some neutral turrets, which I couldn’t completely fix even with the console (or at least I couldn’t figure out how to - I managed to end up semi-peaceful with the companion, but any stray shot aggro-ed them, which normally isn’t a problem) so I ended up reloading a while back.
lol Bat I knew you’d say --ur – something like that heh re: deliverer.
Yeah my worst bug playing survival was the “vats” bug --it would just hard lock and freeze. Happened at the worst possible time, too – 1 hour from a bed save etc. I lowered my settings a bit and have appeared to have resolved it.
Ok there IS a way to use the console in Survival mode --a mod – PLUS --there is a way to keep that fact secret from the game so it doesn’t label your save a modded save (and thus achievements). I used it a few months ago on a quest screwing bug. I’ll hunt for it but I am sure its on NEXUS under utility or something.

Actually, this has been the least buggy Bethesda game I’ve played. I’ve had only one crash in a couple of hundred hours running a heavily modded game. But I guess lucky me, huh? :)

Lucky me as well I guess. Honestly, I don’t remember any broken quests or major bugs and I’ve finished most of the game. Even at release it was a pretty smooth experience, far more bug free than Skyrim was when it was released. I did get stuck in rubble a few times but that’s par for the course with gamebryo and crab walking over slopes that you shouldn’t be able to.

NVIDIA has their own “official” NVIDIA Fallout 4 mod coming.
Vault 1080 is an official NVIDIA mod, and as such packs a serious technological punch. Volumetric lighting features extensively – in ways not seen in the standard game – while shadows are more realistic and velvety than ever. This is thanks to HBAO+ and its control of ambient occlusion, which creates authentic depths anywhere a light source is blocked, no matter how small or fleeting.
You’ll also see those lovely godrays whenever you do find the sun, plus weapon debris and new meshes and materials.
But this is not just about looks. Vault 1080 uses its terrifyingly realistic light and shadow as the core of its experience. It’s a dark and ominous journey before you even head below ground, as you travel to the ruins of a fog-shrouded church through hostile marshland. Once in you find the entrance to Vault 1080 and its dark, intimidating tunnels. Tunnels that are, inevitably, full of twisted dangers.
This is a big mod – equal in size to the other vaults spread across the commonwealth – with its own brand new questline. And it’s a Fallout vault like you’ve never seen before.
Here is the thing though: it only takes one.
In my case my camera exited my body and was stuck in the ground. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t open inventory. I couldn’t even look around. There is ZERO solution for it other than teleporting with the console to reset it. I tried walking to an exit, but… I literally couldn’t control my movement and I couldn’t interact with anything anyway.
Being the “least buggy” Bethesda game is like being the guy “least shot” by Bruce Willis in Last Man Standing: you’re still dead.
I’ve had very few issues with it overall, but since it literally only takes one issue in say 100 hours to utterly end you in Survival, it doesn’t really matter. Bethesda games basically only work because the console is there to fix inevitable glitch that happens.
Edit: Also the infamous “well I don’t have any problems” is probably the least useful thing on the internet and always has been.

About as useful as “buggy as fuck” I suppose? Next time I’ll just reply with [citation needed].
And “least buggy Bethesda game” does mean something in a game of this size, especially after you factor in all the quest logic, npc scripting and dozens of different mechanics.
I know people love to shit on Bethesda for the bugs in their games but maybe try to have some perspective as well.
