EDIT: Missed that you had finished Far Harbor.
What are you playing now, Rob?
EDIT: Missed that you had finished Far Harbor.
What are you playing now, Rob?
I just finished up playing XCOM 2 - War of the Chosen for now. I’ve also been playing some OOTP Baseball. I’m deciding what the next big game I should play.
I was thinking of playing some Skyrim Special Edition. I don’t really like that combat, but am kinda in the mood to explore that world a little.
I also need to tackle the season pass content for Dark Souls 3, but I just haven’t been in the mood to start a game of that even though I loved it.
I’m also thinking of giving Total War Warhammer another try. I bounced off of it at release, like I do all total war games, but I think this one is worth giving another chance.
I picked up Divinity: Original Sin 2 yesterday and plan to dive into that, later. Looks great.
I’ve yet to play Dark Souls 3.
I played the first Divinity: OS and like the action point system a lot. I wish the Pillars of Eternity games would use a system like that. My biggest complaint was how much they relied on environmental damage in combat. I’ll probably pick up the 2nd Divinity OS at some point. I hope you enjoy it!
I have the same thoughts as you. I enjoyed the first one, thought it took me a bit to get through the first encounters and understanding why I couldn’t beat anything tough. I agree with you the elemental and environmental stuff was a bit rock/paper/scissors like, but it also added some nice dynamic combos to exploit, ensuring that combat didn’t get to dull (at times.)
Here’s hoping this one is just as good. The demos I’ve seen look fantastic.
I’m so very late to the party, but I finally got the Xbox GOTY version of Fallout 4 with all the DLC a couple of weeks ago and am having a blast going through my first playthrough. I’ve spent at least a third of my first 15 hours customising my first settlement, decorating ace furnishing and another 5+ getting sidetracked any time I even attempt to follow a marker to the main quest. Exploring is fun!
The reason for this late post is that I started the game tonight on my One X and it’s prompted me to download an 18.9GB update. Looks like I get to see how it looks Enhanced for Xbox One X tonight. Cool.
Edit: looks like the Skyrim patch is out too;
Reddit recommended visual mods thread:
Oh man, I totally forgot the Xbox One version supported mods. I just bought this myself. This is going to be nuts.
It’s my first ever playthrough and Fallout looks pretty sweet as is. Lighting and draw distance seem improved by the patch.
So I’ll keep my achievements active for this playthrough. But I’m sure the patches will tempt me for the next one.
OK, so I’m interested. New Vegas is probably my favorite Fallout of all time. Is this an official Bethesda product, or a fan made conversion, or part of that paid DLC that the internet was up in storm about recently?
I think this is a fan-made thing.

So I finished Fallout 4 last night, with the Minutemen ending. I did so after thinking I had ruined things by earlier killing everything that moved (except the kids) in the Institution. Some of them must have been hiding in the closets.
Anyway, I enjoyed the game. I have enjoyed every Fallout game. I put 150+ hours into this, never used power armor and did most of it solo. I have never been to Boston so I don’t know how well they did create a trashed Boston but it was interesting to see Fenway Park.
I had a problem with the reveal when I first got to the institute, in fact that is my main gripe with the game. I think that could have been done much better. And I did only as much settlement building as I had to, as the ungrateful settlers seemed totally unable to do anything for themselves.
GIANT CLAP
Modding Fallout 4 is great fun!
Agreed; the “ending” and the villages of idiots were my only significant gripes.
Sim Settlements seems to be helping with the village idiots (at least thus far). Can’t help with the ending.
Yes I am back. Scroll down. And yes I am annoying. But yes I still play Fallout 4 (modded).
Nice! You finished it once right?
Finished it once. But came back with a mod that lowers health. By level 100 you are too tough (survival).
Finished it with Minuteman. Now to see what its like to be a courser …
