That’s the same thing I already did, the view offsets as it should be the arms don’t stretch. It’s like they’re using two separate fov values somewhere.

I’ve seen the FOV stuff on Steam, too - very annoying, I used to just FOV 90 every time I played (since the .ini file never worked reliably for me) but having it revert as soon as I close the console… honestly sounds like a bug.

Here’s an image to illustrate what I want - http://imgur.com/a/LKaUU

“You cannot go that way” within 1 minute of entering the open world… ugh.

Well, you start in a corner of the open world!

The power of HYPE!

Pip-boy in Rocket League.

Welp, I had work all day, had dinner, checked the kids’ homework, and now I’m letting them veg out by the TV for a 1/2 hour, so good time to flip on a UK VPN and unlock this sucker! I opted into the Beta for the sound fix… aaaaand it’s all done whilst I typed up this post!

Heading in!

6 and a half more agonizing hours for me… :(

Edit: Just read it unlocks midnight EST, so only 3.5 hours!

So is it correct to assume that I have to wait for the entire preload to be downloaded before I can play the game or can some of the it load in the background? It won’t be done by midnight!

You can always try running an executable program with a partial executable. But I’m pretty sure that’s how Skynet got started.

That settles it. Kurt Hectic it is.

I can’t wait for tomorrow to find out … what happens when you Alt-Tab out of FO4? If it actually doesn’t completely crash the game, I’ll be astonished.

Three hours!

I’m alt-tabbed out of the game now. No crashing (I went back and forth a few times). So far so good.

While it’s not a NEXT GEN!!! title, it’s certainly a big improvement from FO:NV in the graphics dept.

Got to get the kids to bed, but I can tell I’m about to go down the rabbit hole. Oh, and on Win 10, opting into the beta patch in Steam, no crashes thus far. Creating a character, getting through the initial canned opening and now I’m about to escape the Vault, so far so good.

I’m going full settlement building/crafting for my initial character. Stats:

Str 4
Cha 6
Int 6
Agi 5
Luc 2
End 3

Name: John Carpenter. ;)

I hate these monsters

They are freaking fast zombies.

Try typing refreshini in the console before closing it. Per some dude in a Reddit post, that works. (It’s not unlocked for me yet)

If you try and at it before it’s all downloaded, it will just replace the models and textures with Fallout 2 pixel shaded isometric images as placeholders. When I tried to play Battlefield 4 before it finished downloading it started me out on Wake Island with a pixelated Garand.
