My price point is $10, but that’s if they pay me $10.

Let me think. Atlas. Red Dead Redention 2 Online.

I’d love to watch you play the game.

Atlas isn’t AAA and isn’t even released yet, it’s in early access.

And your post is the first time I’ve seen anyone complaining about RDR2 Online’s quality. So it’s got to be on a different level.

Yet, I still play this, because the parts that work (and much of it does work, some of the time) are really good. That is not, again, to deny or dispute any of the observations about the extreme apparent incompetence we’re witnessing–this latest fuck up with this patch if positively epic–but it really does make it all the more frustrating and tragic. There is the core of a very good thing here, being shat upon daily by staggering incompetence.

Todd Howard said FO76 involved a tremendous number of devs spread out across many studios. He presented this as a strength. I wonder if that’s the core reason they’re making so many mistakes.

For the latest debacle, it sounds like they based the patch on an earlier version of the code, so they lost months of hotfixes that had been applied to the live game. And of course they didn’t catch it in QA, assuming they have QA, and there’s no test server for players to catch bugs.

The whole thing is mickey mouse clownshoes. If I was into F76 I would be pipin’ mad.

From afar, though, this is sorta fun to watch. In a “I didn’t invest in Star Citizen, either” sense :)

It’s hella-fun to watch, son! Hella!

Not so fun for those (few?) who really enjoy the game, but I fully understand the appeal of the train wreck. It is, indeed, one for the ages.

Not there yet, but it’ll probably be free soon!

I am in at $15 bux Tennessee dollars. Has it gone free to play yet? With pay boxes?

I’d pay $80 if it had private servers so that I could just explore the world solo or with people of my choosing.

That was pretty much my experience with it at launch, since I never ran into anyone interested in interacting with me, let alone shooting at me or anything. I’d definitely be down for private servers, though, just in case.

Aw, this thread updated and I reopened it expecting fresh new schadenfreude. :(

I got you covered, bro.

Of all the criticisms leveled at the game, and many of them are fully justified, the one about multiplayer ruining people’s single-player experience simply doesn’t ring true. Admittedly, everyone has a different experience to some extent, but I have experienced or even seen/heard of very very few instances of other players impacting my play in any way at all, much less negatively.

Patch 6 news:

Player banned for playing 900 hours and having too much ammo.
