I am with Miramon, the art direction in F3 was better, but that’s it. (I can’t even agree with him in the engine ‘solidity’).
But i can understand how some people may like F3 more, if the highlight of the rpg experience for them is the freedom, the wilderness exploration, and the setting in the most plastic sense.
wow this is amazing. I finish the game, Ron Perlman starts talking about how awesome I am, a certain slide appears, and…
BOOM, HEADSH…errrrm, CRASH TO DESKTOP!
And I try again, same thing!
Wonderful.
edit - well through using quicksave I was able to stop it from crashing somehow, and watched the ending. Wheeeew. Also watched full 20 minutes long credits : ).

Looks like Dead Money will be raising the level cap to 35.

At the very least that pretty much guarantees they will release it for the PC and PS3.

It could be worse. You could have gotten 60 hours into the game and have it crash every time you try to do one particular quest.

A fanmade video of some characters in NV just dancin’.
Looks like I have another mod to install.
Nice. Too bad I can’t find “umpa” or “rikia” on the Newvegas site.
Just maxed out Lockpick and went back to Sniper Nest. Awesome. I think it’s time to head for the quarry.
Even that gun isn’t THAT great against them. Anti material rifle is really the only way to be sure.

I disagree. The rate of fire on that Gobi is awesome. Also, if you have the Hand Loader perk the .308 JSP is pretty much the best ammo there is, better than the .50 match the perk also grants you.
I took the Gobi to the quarry…Boone and I got many of them before they got to us. Finding good high vantage points is good. When they got close, Cowboy Repeater…because I’m a Shotgun Surgeon. With the Desperado hat to prove it!
LOVING THIS GAME.
Man, any ideas on what kills my performance indoors? Especially vaults? Vault 34 was a killer. FPS was, generally fine, but any time I’d turn I’d induce a .5-1s pause. Maddening. Outdoors my performance is fine.
I ratcheted my settings down about 25% and things improved, but didn’t go away. The pauses were less frequent and shorter.
Edit - Oh hay, the latest NVidia driver says it improves “compatibility” with New Vegas. hrm.

Most likely culprit is shadows/lighting, but its hard to say.

Not sure. I just completed that vault and didn’t have any. I’d guess maybe pathfinding? ie. at some points many of the baddies know where you are and can’t get to you… plus your pals not being able to get to them? My system is extremely overclocked so that maybe why I didn’t get any hesitations.
Okay, I just got Boone. That was AWESOME. Dark as shit, almost totally ambiguous for a while, and really, really awesome. I’m officially into this game.
Make sure you follow through on the rest of his personal questline. It’s really good I think.

Anybody remember where Veronica returns to when dismissed? I need her back on for Hidden Valley, but she’s neither at 188 nor at Mojave Outpost (where I told her to scram).
The new NVidia drivers helped a ton. Still some minor pausing when turning in the Vault, but nothing like it was before. Outdoor performance was improved as well.

Depending on where you are at in the story, companions often go to the default location in Vegas that you acquire. If you haven’t gotten to that point, then I’m not sure where else to try.
