So there are these guys. When I kill them, I gain karma. After I kill them, I lose karma for looting their supply cache.
Ok this read made me seriously hyped up. 45 hours and no crash and only minor bugs too?
This is from the radio right at the beginning so I’m not classifying it as a spoiler.
Is it just me or did the black mountain radio station right at the beginning riff on NMA?

You guys are killing me. I’ve sworn off getting anymore games until I upgrade my PC, but I really want to play this. Argh! Hate you all. For now, I’ll live vicariously through your comments.
On the other hand, I think the initial impressions suck so far. I expected you all to take the day off work and entertain me with wonderous tales. I’m still not even excited about this game.

You can’t be scared of bugs. Bloodlines, Stalker, Arcanum – this game is in good company.
I’m happy to hear the PC version is a lot better though. Rock on!

You can’t be scared of bugs. Anything Obsidian has ever released – this game is in good company.

I have a bad problem with sound. Music and sound effects cut in and out, conversations lag lip movement or I never hear anything at all, gunshots are heard 5 or 10 seconds later. Basically unplayable for me at this moment :(
But it looks great!

(assuming PC) Does the game have an option for swapping between hardware or software based sound rendering? Try switching that.
I hate you guys for making me want NV. I’m going to go play FO3 now while listening to western music.

My last two games were Elemental and Civilization 5. I refuse to go for that third strike.

Thanks but no such option in the game. I tried Dxdiag and switched to software based rendering but that just made it worse by introducing static in the sounds I could hear :(
There is a problem with quicksaves in the game, use autosaves and normal saves for now.

Reported problems with autosave too. Just use manual (normal) saves to be safe.
Both me and Blinzler from Planet Fallout have 40 hours of game so far on the PC, no problem with autosaves and quicksaves.
well with a sample size like that, surely it must be working ok.
The problem is with steam cloud which runs even when disabled and messes up the saves. Why it did not happen before is probably because it was not activated.
I would recommend switching steam into offline mode when playing, just to be safe. I know I will.

Wearing my “pre-order” armor and using my “pre-order” gun, while wearing a hat I liberated from some bad guy. Like he needed it.
