Anyone know the status of that website? It seems to be MIA. Regardless of the truth of any of it, it’s still a hoot to read.

This begs the question - why do so many websites have so much trouble renewing their domains ? For a well known website it is probably the single most important thing to remember ? And of course the domain name squatters seem to be able to move in and steal them very easily.

A bill you only pay every few years. Most people have it go to an account they don’t check because the spam you get off any email listed in whois is tremendous.
Places like Network solutions will also be misleading. In May they will send you an invoice and say - your account is expiring renew now!! For a domain that is up for renewal in December at another registrar.
We have almost all of our domains at our in house system now - all set to automatic billing. I still track them all in a database, but there is a lot less worry. Tracking 150 domains at 5 different registrars used to be a major pain in the ass.

So for example you will bill me automatically for my domain in 2.5 years ? That will make it a lot easier.
As for the WHOIS listing the Domains By Proxy is an excellent service. I am surprised not more people use it.
