First movie I saw with my wife in a while and DAMN has going out to the movies become a pain in the ass or what? Half an hour of (awful) ads. Too loud. Idiots yackin’ and bangin’ on the seats. Can’t press “pause” to take a leak. And EIGHT BUCKS FOR THE MATINEE?!?!?!?!??!
Other than that, we thought it was the best movie yet.
I wanted the entire movie to be like the end. I thought the competition parts were weakly tied together and scenes often cut into each other in ways that made no sense. I get the feeling that they had about 4 hours of film for that movie and then realized it had to be cut to 2 hours and thought, “oh, fuck. This film is going to be butchered.”
