I can’t believe it’s so expensive.

Dude, you get to GO BACK IN TIME. And you’re quibbling over the price?

The first thing I would do is go back in time and stop myself from ordering it.

Wouldn’t that create a paradox? If you never ordered it, how could you back in time and stop yourself from ordering it?

Don’t worry it works… you don’t even know.

I’ll save my pennies for a DeLorean if it’s all the same to you.

I swear, there’s a delorian in every parking garage at MS…

Obviously, you failed in the attempt and killed yourself in a tense struggle.

time travel is impossible/will never be discovered by humans.

What are you, stupid? There’s a time travel machine available today on E-bay, jackass.

I can’t wait. I bid pretty high. If I win it, I’m going to use it for good, like to kill Hitler.

Don’t make the mistake that dude in Red Alert did. Kill Stalin too.

Incorrect. We travel in time every second of every day of every year.

Not really. We are always in the present.

But “the present” isn’t a time. As I type this, it is 3:56 PM EST. We are all travelling into the future at a rate of one second per second, which means that now, as I type this, at 3:57 PM EST, I’d have to actually go back in time to be at the time when I typed the last sentence. So we’re constantly time-travelling.

If I could save time in a bottle,
The first thing that I’d like to do
Is to save every day till eternity passes away,
Just to spend them with you

Um no. The present is a time and it is not as long as a second. And of course you would have to travel in time to go back to do something in the past, but you never do that. You never travel back to retype again. So you never travel in time, and the future never physically exists, so you aren’t travelling there either.

What is the line? You can never cross the same river twice?

Chet

You can if you have a time machine.

Or a boat.

Alternately, if the river is frozen solid, you can cross the same river as many times as you like, at least until it melts.
