Eagerly waiting for “Absent yourself” to start trending shortly…;)

Was this the transcript of the one before, or is this a new intrusion?
“You’re going to remove yourself, Mr. Gaetz. From office, next election.”

They should calculate the cost to the taxpayers for each minute of interruption and then fine Gaetz that amount.
I’m going to need you to self-deport from the hearing room.

“No, Mr. Gaetz. I expect you to die.”
I’m sure Hunter Biden and Lisa Page know all about that, so the republicans have it covered.

Yeah, that’s a smart move, because it means that the GOP can’t send douchebags in to just stonewall and call everything a farce.
Either you answer the questions, or you don’t get on TV.
I have no idea how the politics would play out. Will the backlash of forcing/allowing a whistleblower to testify be worse than new information gained? Maybe, maybe not.
I do know the right thing is not to force a whistleblower to testify. There very well maybe times, when the ends justify the means in getting Trump out of office. I just don’t think this is one of those times.
Bolton’s lawyer sent a letter to the committees. Not sure if the quote from the letter below (from CNN) is the whole sentence - because, you know, it isn’t actually a sentence…
Ambassador Bolton, who was the National Security Advisor to the President, and who was personally involved in many of the events, meetings, and conversations about which you have already received testimony, as well as many relevant meetings and conversations that have not yet been discussed in the testimonies thus far.
Obviously it remains to be seen if this means Bolton would pile more trash on the Trump dump pile, or if he would decide to play the good soldier and normalize Trump’s behavior.

I would guess that his contempt for Trump is exceeded by his contempt for Democrats in Congress.
Even if they did, there’s nothing wrong with that, right? Right?
I hate all these motherfuckers

I believe a lot of Republican Senators are justifying to themselves in their heart-of-hearts a vote against impeachment this way:
Clay

While it doesn’t excuse the crimes, there’s a good chance that this, sadly, is true. Anyhow, it also points at the 25th Amendment as a reason to sack him.

And – not that this is a criminal trial – ignorance of a law doesn’t make what you do any less illegal. If he somehow didn’t know that bribery was one of the couple things the constitution actually takes the time to explicitly state when it comes to impeachment? That’s no defense. Or shouldn’t be, anyway, if we weren’t arguing against a cult of idiots.
