You misinterpret my statement. I’m not saying that this process isn’t interesting, useful, and shedding light on what’s happened. But, if you think this is convincing die-hard Trumpers that something is wrong, I think you’re being incredibly naive and optimistic.
This will be useful to sway independents, and that may well be sufficient for the purposes of at least stopping Trump from being re-elected. Clearly the goal of the republicans at this point is to throw some red meat to their base, because they have fuck-all to argue on the facts at this point, and they are running out of process arguments as well. I thought Steve Castor did a “good job” of spreading bullshit, FUD, and red meat to Trump’s base. Nobody else will buy it, but it’ll make TRUMP happy.
If this is really what they are left with, that seems like good news.
