Are there in fact any House Dems in at-risk ‘purple’ districts who were in the House in 1998? I don’t know the answer, but I’d guess the number of such people is…small. And no other House member is going to lose a seat because Pelosi voted the other way on Clinton.
Be prepared to see a real partisan vote shortly.
I don’t know who you mean by ‘you all’, but this is what I said:
Here’s a story on the top 10 most vulnerable House members, 8 of whom are Democrats. Only 1 of them was in office when Clinton was impeached. And, in fact, he voted against opening an impeachment inquiry against Trump.
Edit:
Indeed, of the 33 Dem House members deemed most vulnerable, only 3 are not freshmen members. None of them were in the House in 1998.
On the flip side, though, all the GOP members would have to answer the inverse of this question to on (as would any opponent of a vulnerable Dem). That is, was it wrong to impeach Clinton?
I think I the answer from Dems should be that Clinton should have resigned, that it was right to impeach Clinton when he chose not to resign, and that Trump has done far worse things and the idea that Clinton can even be used as an excuse for Trump’s behavior shows that he should have been removed.
“Trump has to perjure himself because Democrats keep trying to stop him from doing what’s best for the country. Clinton committed perjury so he could keep his affairs a secret!”

Trump never even tried to keep most of his affairs secret!
Uh, NDA’s, I never met that woman? Killing stories at the enquirer?

I said MOST of his affairs!
The fact that 30% of Fox News people approve is… encouraging.
The Judiciary Committee Dem staff counsel is not a good presenter. I hope they lose him when it comes time to go to the Senate.
Now it seems like Castor is determined to recap all of Trump’s bad acts for us.
Yeah, I’m not sure listing all the bad acts of Trump and his minions was the best way to sell the idea that he’s innocent.
I wish this lawyer would stop dropping critical words: it was 391 MILLION dollars, not 391 dollars.
Err, Senate rules? We’re still in the House here, right? We just heard Nadler making rulings before.
Otherwise, point taken.
I think he intended to refer to House rules.
