Nancy has the votes she needs.

It’s incredible how consistently she has been able to wrangle the party to get the votes she needs.

I never really doubted that.

Also, kudos to Lamb.

I didn’t either, but I saw a few journos going for clicks by pointing out that Minnesota fossil Collin Peterson was probably a no vote. Lamb being a “Yea” contextualizes that a bit.

Are they still shouting? I’m watching UK election results.

There’s also the simple fact that voting Yea is so obviously the right thing to do, and what every member of Congress swore to do when they took office.

It’s incredibly sad that the discussion is all about how many Democrats will break ranks to vote No, rather than - as it should be - about how many Republicans will vote Yea. Democracy is far gone…

No, the discussion from my conservative friend now is Nancy Pelosi twisting arms and giving sops to these purple liberal legislators in a quid pro quo for their votes against Trump. Thanks Wall Street Journal for one of the dumber articles I’ve read in a while.

That is purely fucking ridiculous.

So friggin depressing:

Fucking chelonian ass-looking traitor motherfucker.

He didn’t do it, but if he did it would be MAGA.

https://news.yahoo.com/jim-jordan-introduces-amendment-strike-162828578.html

Representative Jim Jordan (R., Oh.) introduced an amendment Tuesday to abolish the first article of impeachment leveling “abuse of power” at President Trump, saying the article “ignores the truth.”

Update: The amendment was voted down later Thursday by a party-line vote of 23-17.

This was so true, it took me two hours to figure it out. But I kept the audio on in the background. I’m sure the ratings were horrible.

So Collins freaked out at the end there because everyone has to come back tomorrow at 10 AM Eastern for the final vote of the Judiciary Committee?

The Republicans were expected to stop trying amendments around 5pm, but kept going, probably to push the final vote into a late-evening news lull. Nadler called their bluff.

Both articles approved by committee along party line vote, 23-17.

Full House vote next week.

In the Full House vote, I expect Aunt Becky to get the worst of it.

(sorry, been up since 6am and I’m already punchy)

Yep, and yep to party lines. Here is comes.

God I love seeing all the self righteous white guys all mad and red faced like that boob last night. It’s beautiful.

Don’t apologize for this.

I know it’s about as heavily used as the Rick Roll video was, but I really think it sums it up better than any other photo.
