NPR has come off my list of responsible news organizations the last year or so. They are so addicted to both siderism it’s embarrassing for them.

Competing for that New York Times demo!

On our panel is a scientist who is an expert in the field, a Republican we found on Breitbart, a writer from Salon, and a guy from the street who couldn’t even give the textbook description of science but voted for Trump and lives in a swing state. Let’s talk about this issue that is dividing America.

I disagree but I’m not trying to convince anyone one way or the other. Further, I feel like when they let some GOP senator come on and answer questions, they are giving lefties like me a chance to reaffirm my belief that they are empty vessels stained with hypocrisy and greed who have no ability to think critically, and I kind of like being reassured of that belief.

Me neither. It’s a kind of triangulation scheme where a Dem in a vulnerable district thinks he can survive by only impeaching Trump a little bit.

^^^^
Pretty much this.

It kind of makes me laugh. When my son was very young and had done something wrong, if I asked him about it he would (as is perfectly normal) deny it. My trick would be to then ask if he had perhaps done it a little bit. He invariably admitted that, because having done it only a little bit could not be a serious failing.

Putin only knocked Trump up a little bit.

As the current cliche goes; NPR, Nice Polite Republicans.

I prefer Nerdy, Polite Republics, since “Nice Polite” seems to be a little redundant. :)

You mean decisions have consequences? I thought that just applied to the poors.

It could also be the page where the part about the prosecution and purge of the opposition began. That letter, in addition to being crazypants, is also a wee bit scary.

Listening to the coverage of the House right now. Why does the guy from Oklahoma keep reserving his time?

He’s using it now to make a closing statement.

Edit: Which is full of lies.

So he can string together a longer series of lies at the end.

He just now literally claimed that the aid was not withheld at all. Amazing.

So many good friends in Congress today.

Ah yes, the “all’s well that ends well” defense. Never mind that before that, he was impounding the aid until Zelensky played ball. Of course that plan all went to shit when he, Rudy and his whole cabal got caught.

So all those terrorists that we caught planning to blow up shit should go free, using that logic. No harm, no foul!

Is this Graham trying to throw Rudy under the bus?
