That Popehat Tweet is distilled awesomeness.

BTW, a couple of people back, a GOP House member accused the Dems of basing their case on “allegations.” Hmm, maybe like the “allegations” about the Bidens and the supposed “DNC Server” that was “given to a Ukrainian kleptocrat,” then?

“Democrats are saying that they’re saving our democracy, but we aren’t a democracy, we’re a republic!”

The GOP arguments are so bad.

Also, it’s funny because Collins keeps only giving his members 30 seconds, and they keep running out of time before they can finish their dumb statements.

“Why are we talking about impeachment, when we should be taking about all of these things which we never talked about when we controlled both houses of Congress!?”

“This impeachment is based on heresay from behind closed doors, except for those guys who gave first hand accounts, in public testimony!”

Schiff is reserving his time, and then taunting them and pointing out how dumb they are.

Hey, stupid question: Who is the woman in purple in what I assume is the Speaker’s seat who is running the logistics of the debate today?

EDIT: Haha. I just stumbled onto a headline at the WashPo that tells me it’s Diana DeGette, acting as Speaker pro tempore. Funny, she’s a rep from my state. I thought she looked familiar!

Another Oh Snap moment from Schiff.

Schiff liked the ‘Shitshow/Schiffshow’ pun that R-NY1 long island dude said.

You know what I noticed, the Democrats are all actually giving a speech, whereas the Republicans are just reading words out very quickly for the most part - they are just getting words out to be quoted from the transcript and they don’t expect anyone to listen to what they say.

Common argument from the GOP:
“We can’t impeach Trump, because he was elected!”

Impeachment, by definition, can only be used against a duly elected president.

Devin “I sued an imaginary cow on Twitter” Nunes:
“The only thing Donald Trump is guilty of, is beating Hillary Clinton. Also, so those crimes he did.”

I hope to god that when this gets to the Senate some new evidence comes out so damning that even the Republican’s won’t be able to “tolerate” it for the judge nominations.

I’m just afraid it would require a recorded confession from Trump himself, and even then it’s at 50/50. The Republican party has given up every shred of integrity for those judges. It’s sad, but the sadder part is that so many people refuse to see it, or just don’t have the brains to.

He said that he sexually assaults women on tape and still got elected. Deplorables don’t care.

Trump could hand the nuclear codes to Putin along with a list of every CIA operative on live television while saying he was doing it for $20 million in cash and the Republicans wouldn’t impeach him.

If… he summoned the High School girl class of St. Holy Trinity who were on a class trip to the White House and forced them at gunpoint to make a porno with him and then used it to bribe them in order to find dirt on his rivals, but forgot he posted it on twitter first…

Then? Then do you think they would impeach him?

One thing that I’ve learned through all this is that Georgia is apparently full of the shittiest people in the universe.

It reminds me of a bit by Anthony Jeselnik:
"A man with an IQ of only 84 was convicted of murder in Georgia, and was sentenced to capital punishment. They were going to execute this man, who had the mind of a child.

“Of course, at the last minute, they issued a stay of execution… Because they just felt that it was wrong… To execute the smartest man in Georgia.”

maybe?

Of course not, the American Taliban say that the testimony of 24 women is equal to one man and there only 22 in a class at St Holy Trinity.

Vote on Article 1: 7 votes left to impeach…

Get on with the button pressing congresspeople!

5 now…3…

And Donald J Trump is impeached on Dec 18, 2019, 8:23 PM.

All that’s left to see is if even among the retiring GOP members if they are all craven cowards.
