Perhaps I’m overly naive, but I never really thought that all the GOP Senators (primarily Romney, Collins and Murkowski, but others too) would vote to dismiss. I have no illusions about the possibility (or lack thereof) of kicking Trump from the White House, but I always figured that the Senate GOP would go through all the required motions.

What I don’t understand is why they wouldn’t have raided his residence to look for further evidence. That has to be enough for suspicion and it is a threat against an ambassador. I’d think the FBI would’ve been busting down his door the day they got that.
