We should ask Barr. Oh wait, that’s probably the reason.

On the Fox web site is a story about the documents, including the observation that Parnas is not credible because, duh, he’s a criminal.

This Hyde character sounds like a bad guy. Someone should drone strike this imminent threat against our embassies.

Dean Cain is part of the Faux News talking heads brigade now?

Stuporman

So Gervais is now a conservative darling because he took the piss for 5 minutes at the Globes, I suppose.

That plus all the transphobia I imagine. Pretty sure he’s used “snowflake” unironically as well.

Gervais has long been outspoken against a lot of the language and comedy policing that the identity focused undergrad left tales as their mission in life.

I haven’t seen anything from him that seems to imply that he’s an advocate of any of the monstrous policies of the American right, though.

Wait, so fox news builds up the Gervais stuff as a distraction from the new impeachment info, and now we are talking about that in the impeachment thread? Have some discipline folks!

DJT has half assed everything in his worthless life, no surprise that he would tacitly approve a half assed mob hit on a US Ambassador on foreign soil.

If the Trump Congress stands down on this (as they will), it’s past time to talk about voting them out, and time to start talking about prison.

Hakeem Jeffries is awesome. I’m a fan.

“This timeline is troubling” … no shit. This whole fucking presidency is troubling if they had been paying attention.

CNN spoke with former Senate Parliamentarian Alan Frumin, who is also a CNN contributor, to lay out the first steps of the impeachment trial now that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is sending over the articles. While there’s a list of the steps below, Frumin stressed that there could be twists and turns along the way that will be dealt with in real time.

Frumin’s guidance is based largely on the “Rules of Procedure and Practice in the Senate when Sitting on Impeachment Trials,” which was last updated on August 16, 1986.

Here is Frumin’s shorter take on what to expect in the early stages of a Senate trial, which – like much of the congressional procedure in today’s Washington – is subject to change…

…that mostly exists in the fevered imaginations of a few indignant male celebrities and aggrieved First Amendment Warriors who completely missed Trump’s abuses while they were busy castigating dumb college kids.

FTFY

Last I checked Gervais and Dave Chappelle are still millionaires who get invited to say whatever they want on TV all the time. Seriously folks, identity politics is mostly about empathy and respecting other people’s choices and lifestyles. Conservative media culture gets a fuckton of mileage out of the made-up idea that there’s a raving horde of leftists out there policing the boundaries.

There are a lot of “progressives” policing boundaries - but conservatives don’t even meet or encounter them until something bubbles up and makes the wider media, and most of this takes place on a few social media outlets. But conservatives are eager and enthusiastic supporters of any and every intra-conflict fight between liberals they become aware of, so they can pat themselves on the back as being the defenders of all that is normal and right in the world.

Nothing.
