Unless Hannity gets “visibly uncomfortable” it won’t matter.
Lofgren is laying out a damning case. Too bad the GOP Senators have their fingers in their ears closing their eyes and (silently) saying “lalalalala” like Nicole Sullivan’s character in that old MadTV sketch.

It must be killing them to not be able to shout out “YOU LIE” during the arguments.

Him being a Jew is a big part of it.

Pretty sure they’re immune from prosecution for stuff they say in Congress.
It came up not that long ago with the GOP threatening to sue someone?
Googling shows it’s complicated:

TLDR: They can likely say whatever they want as long as it pertains to the thing Congress is dealing with.
But that doesn’t apply to people who are not members of Congress.
Interesting take from Perry Bacon Jr. that Collins’s “dramatic” rules change was actually just kabuki theater to make it seem like she’s independent.

Maybe not, but they’re also sort of defense counsel so…
Eh. Not that it matters the GOP is going to vote not to impeach no matter what anyway.
Which really should be the point where we grab our guns, but most of the people supposedly preparing for this moment are too busy cheering it while it happens.

Ok, i gotta say, Val Demings sucks at this. She’s having a lot of trouble reading her prepared remarks, resulting her putting emphasis on weird words, which then make it hard to understand what she’s saying… And I’m saying this as someone who already knows what she’s saying, and agree with it.

I remember her having the same issue with the House inquiry. She had some good moments, but most of it felt really off. She doesn’t do well with prepared remarks.
I mean, she’s a freshman Rep. This seems like the sort of thing you want tried and true people on.
I assume they’re trying to leverage her law enforcement background.

See, Schiff is killing it. No previously prepared remark. He is surgically destroying what Sekulow just said. He knows the facts of the case, and he is pointing out the details of what Trump’s cronies are lying about.
That’s what we need.
He’s destroying the absurd false exculpatory which Sekulow just tried to use as a defense.

LAWYER LAWSUITS?! LAWYER LAWSUITS?! I had no clue what Sekulow was even trying to argue, I’m glad Schiff said something along those lines when he began speaking.
Another pro forma vote that McConnell has in his pocket. Republicans will have a lot to answer for come the revolution.

Jason Crow is doing well too… It’s just a prepared statement, but he’s delivering it well.
That’s why Val Demmings was so surprisingly bad. It was as though she were reading something that she had never seen before, never rehearsed, etc.
This is not the time to bone it like she did. If you can’t deliver a prepared statement, you have no business speaking as a house manager in this hearing.
Sadly, neither you nor I will live to see that revolution, in all probability.
I do hope to live long enough to leave a special present on McConnell’s grave, though.

Is that the heavyset fake blonde woman that Shiff yielded to? Man she was terrible. No charisma and she lost me two busy powerpoints in.
Edit:. No that was someone else.

It’s totally possible that other speakers also sucked. Demmings was just the first one that spoke after i started being able to watch it earnest, who sucked.
It just bugs me that they are putting up anyone who isn’t their A game.

Crow is doing a very good job. He’s presenting a clear, concise case for exactly what’s wrong.

Sekulow coming back with a defense of “but Obama”.
AKA “look over there!” Also it’s “Obummer” don’tcha know…
